Lovely Hotel, But...
...No daily maid service, outdated bathroom, carpet needs deep cleaning, or replaced, throughout the property. On the plus side, two blocks from the beach, the front desk staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. For the price and location, can't be beat.

Great but not amazing
We had a great stay at the Pearl, but not an amazing one. The hotel's location is fantastic - only steps from the International Marketplace - so in and out was very easy. We loved the floor-to-ceiling windows and our balcony. Front-desk staff were always available and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the mattresses were VERY firm - to the point of being somewhat uncomfortable. And the bathroom floor looked and felt like it hadn't been mopped in some time. Also, the hotel does not do housekeeping in your room unless you ask ahead, which we didn't realize at first. Overall, a great stay and we'd recommend it to others with those caveats.

Upgraded & Great Customer Service
To start - my 4 star review is based on a 3 star/budget friendly hotel. The Aqua Waikiki Pearl is located pretty much in the heart of everything. We walked to breakfast each morning, walked to the beach, to bars, to shopping... could have walked to Diamond Head - but we took "The Bus" - which has several stops all within steps of the hotel. Need a late night snack? Walked to the little market around the corner during a tv commercial break! Popped out for a night cap late one evening... just a really convenient location! The room... this is where they lose a star - ONLY because it could use a bit of updating. Our room was clean, and the house keepers were very sweet and accommodating when requesting extra towels, etc. Our room was upgraded with balcony at check in by Mark at the front desk which was really nice. Enjoyed cocktails out there while watching the tall palm trees sway. I want to give a special shout out to Tiki at the front desk. A great guy who oozes Aloha spirit. Love that guy!

Worst and most disgusting motel
I got tricked!! I booked the hotel via Hotel Tonight. The price looked good, it had good reviews, and the location was good. I arrive and it looks nothing like the photos. Looks like a high rise motel 6. I can’t believe they call this a hotel. They have ZERO amenities but they charge a resort fee. The bed mattress feels like lying on plywood. This hotel should be condemned. The AC machine in the room sounds like u are in a metal factory. So much for getting a good nights rest. I am expecting at this point to see drug addicts and hookers. It’s gross and disgusting. Stay as far away from this armpit as possible. Thank you to Hotel Tonight. You ruined our trip. Can count the seconds fast enough to get out of this disgusting place.
