Great resort with excellent staff! Would recommend!
Very much enjoyed my stay at Parrot Key! The hotel stay was friendly and attentive, and the hotel amenities are quite nice, especially the 4 pools. I had one issue with the travelers staying in the room next to me, and when I brought this to the attention of the front desk, I was met with empathy and it was promptly handled accordingly. Location is also great, only a 10 min drive from downtown and about a 5 minute drive to Smathers Beach. One thing that didn't really surprise me but should be kept in mind when booking is the $51 per day resort fee and $30 per day parking fee, both of which are taxed. Just something to be aware of so that you aren't surprised. I would certainly stay here again and would absolutely recommend to others!

BEWARE OF MINI BAR SCAM
WHAT HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! They will tell you something is included in your reservation and charge you for it after! I am a client that has stayed at this hotel numerous times during the years. I checked in for a trip on Friday and the girl at check in tells me I have a mini bar package INCLUDED at check in. I didn’t ask for it. I didn’t add it to my reservation. We don’t even drink! But I thought it was an amenity that was included with my Amex card which usually has benefits. Upon checkout I saw I was being charged for this 100$. And I asked why I was being charged for it if it was included. The manager WAS SO INCREDIBLY RUDE. Saying we had requested the mini bar package through text messages and we DID NOT IN FACT DO THAT. She could not show us in the so called text conversation she had where we had specifically requested this. For a repeat client of your establishment to be treated this way is not only bad business but highly unprofessional. I was being accused of adding something I didn’t request when I was told at check in it was INCLUDED! Now you lost a LONG TIME customer for $100. Not that that super unprofessional manager cares, clearly… Parrot Key please do better and train your management and employees better.

Nice hotel but…..
The property and amenities were nice. The experience with housekeeping was challenging. We had a 2 bedroom suite for 3 days and could not get housekeeping to clean the second bedroom despite repeated requests. Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

Not great….
We reserved a waterfront two bedroom. The rate was $1329/night. With taxes and resort fees, you are over $1500. It’s spring break. I get it. Rates are super jacked up and everyone is sold out. Whatever. We went for some sun and a relaxing five day trip. The property itself is pretty. Great landscaping and outdoor design. But the rooms and furniture are dirty and tired. The carpet is filthy. I walked around in my gym socks one day and they turned dark brown on the soles. The pools are nice but they were littered with trash and dirty dishes most days and nobody picks them up. Kids on spring break were playing their Bluetooth speakers loud and all you could hear was competing hip hop. That sucked. Food onsite is expensive and poor quality. Everything seems to be frozen and cooked in a microwave. Drinks are super expensive. The exercise room is the size of my wife’s walk in closet. Internet/TVs were inoperable 80% of the time. The hotel is severely understaffed. They don’t have enough people to service the restaurant and pool area. They leave dirty dishes and cups on the tables all day. I stepped on a glass shard on the pool deck and found a half clear glass broken bottle in one of the smaller pools. A few servers and bartenders were nice and friendly. The rest seemed angry we were there. To their credit, the GM and assistant manager reached out after our trip to discuss the concerns I shared in the survey email. They genuinely wanted to know what could be better and even offered free nights if we were to return. I urged them to just bring in more people so that the staff can effectively do their jobs.

Paradise in Key West
Awesome from top to bottom. Restaurant space a little tight but manageable, Great experience and worth the money! Location was very applicable. Need Peacocks with the chickens. Rooms and bedding were very comfortable and clean. Chicken's crowing in the morning was a delight, and the noise level was nonexistent. Excellent choice for any travel endeavor.
