Beautiful tropical beachfront units at Parrot Key Hotel & Villas
Our stay at the Parrot Key Hotel & Villas was superb and the beachfront units are fabulous. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the resort is very tropical with lovely amenities and 4 pools. I would highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Nice but missed the mark in several areas
my husband and I just returned from Parrot Key. we stayed five days in a garden view King room. Their room was very spacious with a separate living room small fridge and small sink. We had a lovely balcony with chairs overlooking the pool area. I will say the foliage at this resort is absolutely gorgeous. The room however, needs attention. It is carpeted throughout with the exception of the bathroom. The carpet is very stained especially on the stairs leading up to our room. There was a light coloured couch in the living room that was also stained. We covered it with a towel before we sat down on it, which is not something you expect to have to do when paying resort level prices. They need to look at replacing their bed linens. The sheet on our king bed did not fit properly and continuously pulled up whenever we rolled over or moved. They do offer lovely French toiletries in the bathroom. Unfortunately , our room was not serviced until after 5 PM most days. This is very frustrating when you have been out exploring all day and want to come in and have a nice shower and quick rest before heading out for the evening. There is an on-site restaurant with a small bar. The breakfast and lunch food that we ordered was very tasty. The prices however, are ridiculously high. We know Key West is an expensive resort town, but we believe this resort needs to reevaluate the pricing on their menu. I enjoy a nice latte in the morning. The cost at the restaurant at parrot Key was $10.47 for a regular size latte. Beware that there is an 18% gratuity added to everything you order. My husband and I are generous tippers, but to add 18% to a quick cup of coffee (that I stood at the bar and retrieved myself) is ridiculous. It honestly would’ve been cheaper for me to have an Uber eats delivery of two lattes brought to my door from the Starbucks a block away. While the resort is quite nice there are not enough amenities to justify the high resort fee. There are three small pools with nice foliage around them. During the day we at times had a hard time finding two chairs together. I think it depends upon the time of day you want to relax by pool as to whether or not you will be able to find a chair. There did seem to be as is common in all resorts a lot of with towels on them, but no people. We booked the first half of our stay directly with the resort but decided to use some of our American Express points to pay for the secondhalf of our stay. We were given coupons for free continental breakfast the first half of our stay, but when I inquired about the second half I was rudely told that we did not qualify for the free continental breakfast as we had booked through a third-party. I don’t like being treated like a second class citizen because I chose to use some of my American Express points to pay for a fairly expensive resort. The young lady at the front desk did not seem to care that I was unhappy about this. Something as simple as a coupon for a free latte or a cup of coffee would’ve gone a long way in this instance. I would strongly encourage the management staff to empower their employees to make small exceptions to leave a better feeling with their guests. I was waiting to speak to the concierge one morning when I overheard the front desk staff arguing with another guest about something to do withtheir room rate. It again had something to do with booking through a third-party. Honestly, if resorts don’t want people booking through third parties then they should perhaps look at taking their resorts off those websites. People should not be made to feel bad about using points from a travel card or booking through a third party. I understand in some instances they paid considerably less for their stay, but in our personal case, I paid the same rate through American Express as I did directly. It just allowed me to use accumulated points. Location wise this resort is nicely situated outside of the touristy area of town, but close enough to get in and out by Uber. Uber pick ups were easy and price is varied from $11 a trip to $16 a trip depending upon time and demand. Key West is not a town you want to drive into as Parking is extremely limited. Overall we had a fairly pleasant stay at this resort . My suggestion to Parrott Key is to rip out the carpets from the rooms and replace with hard surface flooring that can be cleaned properly. Refresh the linens and look at staffing issues so that rooms can be refreshed earlier in the day. Empower your front desk staff to be able to make small adjustments that will go a long way with regards to guest satisfaction. Review individual menu items pricing especially in conjunction with the automatic 18% gratuity.

Nice Hotel but a little pricey!
Nice hotel and about 10 minutes from downtown Key West and Duval Street. If you rent a car and stay here you will pay $30.00 per day parking and it's only Valet service. So you will need to tip each time you get your car. Restaurant was nice and they have only an outside restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Service was good. Pools were nice. could you some updating but they do keep it very clean. A little pricey for what you get but I think that's Key West.

Gorgeous and Relaxing
This hotel is gorgeous! The pools and the grounds are amazing! The location is outside of the downtown area, which I liked very much. The hotel is very clean and the decor is beachy and updated. I would definitely stay there again.

Large room but wouldn’t book again
Nice to be a little out of the main town but the shuttle bus stops at 4.30pm so we ended up driving and therefore incurred parking costs. Breakfast was poor, basically some chopped fruit, yoghurt and 3 small pastries that were tough and crispy (reheated) Not truly on the “beach” more of a sandy walkway adjacent to a small river going out to sea, however the room was spacious and clean. Valet gave our car keys to another guest! Accident but still not good - we were unable to unlock our vehicle and get our luggage until the chap came back.
