Would never go back. Charged so many extra fees (beyond what was listed in the reservation)...especially for stuff that we will never use...that it was a maddening and frustrating start to our vacation. We moved hotels as we don't enjoy being lied to or ripped off.

Dec 10, 2025Laid Back, Low Key Resort
Overall the resort was great! Beautiful, clean, and kind staff. Not sure if occupancy was just low but it was very quiet at the pools and on the waterfront beach area. We booked a King Guestroom with a Waterfront view and enjoyed the late checkout. I appreciated that the pools were heated, as it greatly enhanced the value of our stay since some of the days were borderline for pool weather otherwise. The shuttle is also a good option since the resort location is a bit away from the action on Duval Street. There are limited options around the resort but we really enjoyed Habaneros, a Cuban restaurant, across the street for grab and go breakfast and lunch when we wanted to hang out at the resort. It seems that this resort may have been more upscale at one point but has become more laid back. It’s advertised that you can order food and drink poolside but this was not available and no staff came to service us while at any of the pools throughout all the days of our stay. Although a gentleman is always posted in front for valet, no one will help with your bags which seems odd for a 4 star resort. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would consider returning!

4.5 of 5.0 Expensive, but a pretty good value relative to other properties. Fantastic staff -- check-in, parking, housekeeping, restaurant, bar -- everyone!! Room was OK, bed was very comfy. Valet parking was efficient and not the hassle I expected. Dining at The Grove was great (breakfast a couple of times and dinner once.) Easy to recommend if you are planning a trip to Key West!

This is at best ok 2-star hotel; the bathrooms are not clean and the apartments have sticky carpets, the hotel staff is not really helpful

Parrot Key awesome hotel, pools, and gorgeous surroundings.
This was a perfect place for a mother daughter stay. The food and drinks were excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Our Thanksgiving turkey dinner tasted homemade. Our room was lovely and very clean. The convenience of the shuttle was spot on. And the driver was full of information. You won’t be disappointed.
