Attitude and Age
I travel a lor, but I infrequently write reviews. Either when the experience was outstanding or lousy. The latter applies to PH Melbourne. First - if you are looking for PH standards, go to Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo, New York or London. Melbourne is not even in the same zip code in terms of service, attitude and comforts. The place feels very dated, rooms are in urgent need of renovations, sound insulation is very bad. We had booked a Park Suite. The room felt cramped as if someone had just put a wall right through a standard room; it was on the second floor and we had a lovely view at the cars in the driveway. I went to reception and a very polite junior agent said he would find a solution. He then called his manager, introduced me by name and presented his proposal. The manager would not greet me in any way on introduction, he would not even look at me, but looked at the screen. Finally, he looked up and said: you have got the room you booked, nothing I can do and walked off to his closet. I am a very active client of Hyatt and generally extremely satisfied with service and properties - this profoundly rude behaviour was a first. We felt very unwelcome and after a discussion over a meal left the property. fir greener shores. Icing on the cake - I wrote this to the GM and was not even graced with an answer. You get the picture. One good thing - the neighborhood is very pleasant. I recommend the Ritz Carlton for a luxury stay in Melbourne. Service top, properly top.

Such a great stay.
Brilliant staff who provided such great service. Breakfast was lovely and afternoon tea was the best we have had in Australia. Great location and excellent hotel. Will be our go to hotel in Melbourne.

So luxurious, and great service
The room was stunning, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above beyond with their service. Definitely will stay there again.

Great end of cruise with Silversea hotel to stay in for 30 hours
Brilliant hotel with pleasing views and friendly staff. Great breakfast and situated great for the city of Melbourne and only 15 mins to MCG

Great hotel with amazing experience
A fantastic hotel that certainly provides a great experience right from when you arrive at the hotel when you are received by the most enthusiastic and professional staff who are eager to help and make it a welcoming experience. Kajal at the front desk is amazing and made the check in experience fantastic. The rooms are amazing, clean and the staff on the floor who make sure every need is taken care of. The breakfast here is a must with enormous variety of fruits, yogurts, juices, cooked eggs. The omelette with salmon was one of the best!!! Would love to stay here on a longer vacation. Fully recommend and would stay here again. The Fitzroy garden is a walk away and the MCG an easy walk to. Trams to everywhere are close by and Burke Street is a couple of minutes walk away!!
