    A Bit Disappointing

We had stayed at a Paradisus Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. We liked it so much that we went back three times. We loved the ambience, the food, the staff, and the entertainment. They had lively music around the pool and fun games in the afternoon. They also had a variety of shows at night. We decided to go to the Paradisus Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, and expected to have a similar experience. Unfortunately, we did not. Although the staff and the hotel were lovely, the food was terrible. There were no lunch or evening buffets. There was minimal entertainment. The music around the pool was of a Zen quality. There was no nightly entertainment to speak of. If you are after a totally quiet, lackluster experience, then this is the hotel for you. If you’re after a little bit of fun, stick to the Paradisus Hotel in Cancun.

Best 11 days ever! Muchas Gracias!

The atmosphere at beach is serene and picturesque. The sea water is perfect temperature, once you commit. There is plenty of room at pool and great lunch and dinner options. I especially recommend Tokimeku and Agua Marina restaurants. The attendents are always available with excursion recommendations. The Reserve staff is very friendly and on top of any want or need. The paradisus beach, pool and spa staff are always friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Best 11 days ever!

    Not Worth The Cost

Overall, I would NOT recommend Paradisus Cabo. Though my husband and I made the most out of the vacation, we chose to leave early due to the poor experience. This resort is NOT worth the price tag. That said, here were some of the good things at the resort. Pros: - Maid Service: The fridge and mini bar were consistently stocked. - Pool Crew: Friendly & helpful - Hostesses & Restaurant Staff: Hostesses were helpful and timely, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. - Spa Staff: The spa experience was great. The staff was kind, professional, and we enjoyed our massages. - Tokimeku: The food was excellent. Not sure why this same quality wasn't throughout the resort. Now, for the unfortunately long list of cons: - Mold in Food: At the breakfast buffet, after I had eaten the majority of my food, I opened a cream cheese and to my surprise it was moldy. - Food Quality: Odd, chemical-like taste in food and drinks. Multiple guests have commented on this as well. - Room View: We paid for an "ocean view" as listed, but our primary view is of the highway and another hotel. If "partial ocean view" had been clearly stated, we would have understood, but it was not. We inquired about an upgrade, but none were offered. - AC Issues: The unit rattles and does not cool properly, leaving the room very hot at night. - Odor Issues: At times, the room has a garbage or sewer smell, and it's not coming from the trash bin. - Menu Inconsistencies: Menus provided do not match what's available. We've been told items listed are "not available" multiple times. Restaurants advertised as offering sit-down menus were actually buffets with mismatched menus. - Confusing and Misinformation from our Concierge Regarding Cabana Booking: We were told to reserve a day in advance, then told they were fully booked. We were also told you can only book ocean cabanas once per stay, but we've seen other guests book daily. We were also told beach cabanas were first-come, first-serve, but then asked to move after 2 hours. These inconsistencies were frustrating and difficult to navigate. - Shower Issues: Were were pleasantly surprised to see that there were two shoper heads. However, shower temperature swings from cold to scalding hot every minute or so, making it difficult to shower. You're jumping in and out of the water non-stop. - Competing Music: This is so strange but there were 2-3 overlapping sources of music play simultaneously in resort. All different music and genre.. many other guests were commenting on this. - Beach Food Service: We were told food could not be ordered at the beach, but later saw other guests being served directly at their beach chairs? Not sure why the misinformation. - Coffee Shop Hours: The coffee shop is advertised as 24 hours, but we found that no one was working there until 7am. - Overall Inconsistencies: The most frustrating issue has been inconsistent information from staff. We've been told conflicting things regarding reservations, cabanas, beach service, and food availability. It seems like staff members are operating with different sets of rules, which makes it hard for guests to plan their day. Now, to their credit - they offered us a $280 spa credit for the mold encounter. However, we were not offered a refund for our early cancelation or any other accommodations.

    Spa experience

Everyone we encountered at the spa was genuinely friendly and did not push too much on sales. We got the chance to use the facilities which included a sauna, steam and private lap poll with different pressure jet for back massage. Anna at the Spa was especially helpful and friendly.

    Luxury Experience at Paradisus!

I travelled to Cabo by myself for a 4 day holiday while pregnant to work remotely and de-stress. It was the perfect balance - morning yoga, healthy breakfast buffet, an amazing coffee bar and gelato bar and the BEST wifi!! Here are some areas I will highlight: ROOM: I booked the standard room and loved it. It's a concrete building so arriving at night was a bit spooky, but I quickly learned not spooky - QUIET! I had no trouble sleeping the entire time and did not miss an ocean view since the rest of the property all has ocean views and I wasn't in my room. My room actually overlooked the golf course which was beautiful and it was fun to sit on the balcony and watch the golf carts zoom around. STAFF: There were so many people around all the time and everyone is happy to help. I will say the coffee bar and the Taco truck by the pool could have used more than one person working though, those were the only times there was a lineup. RESTAURANTS: I never had to wait for a table, and service was impeccable. Loved the food, no complaints! POOL: Always easy to get a chair or daybed by the pool. LOVE the daybeds. Also love the seats over looking the ocean where you can watch wales - I saw wales jumping out of the ocean on more than one day. I will say the music at the pool though is horrible, they have 3 different speakers all playing different music. Country, Top 40 and then EDM Techno (the worst of them). Oh and Christmas music playing on the paths - it would be nice to pick just one, maybe something relaxing lol ACTIVITIES: There aren't very many activities, especially because I wasn't drinking. More activities would be nice. I did enjoy the morning yoga though which was always well attended and hosted at the sky bar with a beautiful ocean view. BEACH: Go to the beach! I did not go to the beach until my last day and I definitely missed out. They have a very attentive server, very soft daybeds and cabanas, umbrellas for shade, and a lovely little swimming area.
