Relaxing vacation in a beautiful spot
We had a wonderful, fun, relaxing vacation at Oyster Bay Resort. The drinks, food and waitstaff were excellent. A special shout out to Dave at the Infinity Bar by the pool, Dianne and Tanyeria at the Infinity restaurant. Grouper was excellent as well as the chicken Caesar salads. The restaurant was busy and these girls hustled and were friendly. For breakfast, the Verandah Bistro and Marketplace are the spot. Delicious breakfast sandwiches on French baguettes as well as pancakes, fruit, French toast. Everything was great. Our sweet servers Yari and Chris were attentive and friendly. The actual store has everything you need, drinks, alcohol, snacks, all reasonably priced. Plus, coffees and pastries to go. Yes, there was seaweed the first half of the week, but they made every effort to clear it. We rented a car and visited Orient Beach; we rented chairs and an umbrella for ten dollars at the orange restaurant. Great service and food. Beautiful swimming day and we went there twice. The other end of the beach is a nude beach, but it didn't affect us except for a few people walking by. Lastly, we booked a new tour with Eagle tours at the front desk. Sahara was most helpful and always pleasant!!! Promote her. We shopped and toured Philipsburg with a guide RT from Ama jewelry store. Very knowledgeable and beautiful store. Then snorkeling with Lassandro the captain and the excellent first mate Eddy. A wonderful experience. P.S. Jeremy was so friendly our first day at check in and helped with our bags. Also, The Big Fish restaurant close by is worth the trip and Mamas Pizza.

Disappointing
Very disappointed in our stay after our Windstar cruise. Hardly a greeting or a smile at Reception. Border line rude. A positive was the wonderful young man who helped with our bags. Our room was passingly clean. However, and not to be believed, was how the bottom of our feet looked after walking on the tile floor for a day or so. They were disgustingly dirty. We also had numerous knocks on the door, first for a new coffee maker, then a new telephone directory, then to wash the windows! Additionally, there was major confusion on if we needed to move rooms for a third night or not, no one knew what the other person said to us. The Veranda restaurant was very good though. We ate there all 3 nights & liked it very much. Service was excellent too. We would not stay at Oyster Bay again.

Need customer service training
Oyster Bay Beach Resort, what can I say? First let me say It is a very pretty resort on a great spot on the island and we usually look forward to returning. This trip, not so much. If honesty and integrity mean anything to you than I recommend an alternative resort. It matters to me and that's why we will never be back. I'll begin by saying we booked a week in the Lighthouse in a large 3-bedroom Villa, and it was suitable for the three of us as it had a large kitchen and three balconies even though it was usually too windy to use them. The Lighthouse is a collection of Villas owned by others but managed by the resort. This was a celebration of my Wife's and her sisters' birthdays and I wanted everything to be special. 1. The resort sent a shopping list of Items I could Pre-Stock the Villa with and it was very extensive so I filled it out and returned it as we usually do when traveling and on arrival at the resort after a long long day of travelling we were hoping to find a stocked kitchen with cold waters and food for relaxing...not the case. I asked the young man that helped get us to the room about it and he knew nothing about it. I asked at the desk and they said don't worry, much later that afternoon someone finally asked me about it and got the order to the store and of course on arrival the pack of cokes for my wife missing I went to the store on foot and asked and they said they were out but the refrigerator was fully stocked with them!. 2.Time share. When you check in you will be immediately shuffled to the Timeshare desk and be hounded to do the presentation, I didn't sign up for this at booking but felt guiled to do the 2hr presentation Knowing that I was saying no over and over they took forever to release us. 3. Can't call the reception, room phone doesn't work 4. Ants. not really sure if they are ants but the kitchen was crawling with them and I did point this out to the maid, and she must have sprayed because in a couple of days they were gone. 5. Evidently, they are short staffed and stressed as everyone is in a foul mood. Breakfast took hours because no cooks and our Friendly server 'Mr. Happy" was doing all he could do to help people. Also, After I realized I was being served large, bottled waters with food and being charged for it when everybody else got water from a pitcher for free? 5 Now the honesty and Integrity part. On the last evening at the raffle drawing, they drew my name for a free week stay in a studio room, very nice. when I read the certificate, it read that it had to be used by Oct 30th by me so I gave it back and thanked them telling her We couldn't come back by then. The lady that gave it to me said hold and went to talk to a superior who said I could give it to a family member for a small chang fee so I thanked her and took it. The morning, we checked out I confirmed this with her again, so we left. I gave this to my niece and called and checked availability and confirmed my guests that I gave it to and she said fine please email the filled-out certificate with the names and email back, I did. Days later and nothing from the resort and needing to buy airline tickets I called back and wanted a confirmation but was met by a very rude woman saying no, this won't do, it has to be me only. I explained the interaction the night of the drawing and she just implied I was not truthful and that it didn't happen. I called the General Manager Mr Perez to explain and couldn't be bothered so he had the same woman call me back. Simple courtesy would have gone a long way here, even a compromise but to not even discuss the issue with a repeat guest who just spent thousands at their resort? Please reach out if I can elaborate. St Martin has many many fine places that are beautiful and kind and I suggest you seek out one of those.

Relaxing stay
I had a pleasant stay at Oyster Bay Beach Resort. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and offer a comfortable time-share style experience, with nice views overlooking the pond. The resort overall is well maintained and housekeeping stood out for being consistently polite and friendly. The pool area is a highlight: calm, relaxing and a great place to unwind. The drinks were very good, and a special mention to Gregory at the bar, who was kind, helpful and contributed positively to the overall atmosphere. While the bar food was decent, some options felt a bit basic and blunt. The location is quiet and well suited for relaxation. During my stay, there was a noticeable amount of seaweed and wind, which made swimming from the beach, mission impossible (see the picture attached) . However, this is not the fault of the resort, as they clearly make an effort to clean the beach daily using large machines (although in my 4 days stay the didn’t manage to clean it) Another positive aspect was the overall crowd: this is not a party-type resort, but rather attracts guests looking to relax and unwind, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. If there is one area for a great improvement, it would be the front desk, which could feel a bit more welcoming, smiley and attentive. Additionally, while the stay was enjoyable, some may find that it does not fully align with the price point, depending on their priorities. Overall, a calm and well-kept resort with spacious rooms, a nice pool area and friendly service, at least in some of the key areas.

Not the ocean you came to the Caribbean for
The rooms are clean and the view of the ocean from the balcony is lovely. The beach was covered in seaweed, which they cleaned each morning but it was in the water which combined with the tough water made swimming impossible . Happy hour each day was nice, but entertainment was non existent.
