Good resort to stay at
Very nice relaxing and fun resort to stay at. Clean rooms, good food and clean grounds. Great for families and kids. Use caution when booking excursions even if you think it’s through Outrigger. It might be an outside vendor. Always ask for duration of trip, time actually spent at event (or in water), if it is guided, or you’re in your own.

Family Friendly
Perfect for young families.... GO! - especially off peak. First Caveat I should share is that we attended outrigger in February which is the quietest month, so we had no competition from any other guests for the attention of staff or amenities. Your experience could differ on a busy month. This resort basically under-promised and over-delivered. What I mean is, they promised X and Y, and yet delivered X, Y & Z! I was impressed to say the least to receive all the bonuses that my travel agent had organised with no resistance, plus a generous handful of extras above and beyond what they were required to provide. My wife and I finally had many dates, mornings, evenings and Afternoons together while the young children were expertly cared for by the resorts MeiMei's (nannies) and the kids club. The children loved Meimei and the kids club, they Wanted to go. We came home one evening to find meimei had bathed, dressed, and even set our two year old to sleep in a little nest on his bed made out of pillows and his favourite soft toys. He slept all night. We had been to the Adult's only hilltop bar, adults only pool with in-pool bar and restaraunt most of the day. It was exhilarating to enjoy a family holiday where we got to have lots of guilt-free couples time because the kids were happy with the nannies and kids club. Also, if you have noisey loud kids, don't stress. So does everyone else. The resort loves kids, you can relax and let kids be kids. Adults can escape to the adults only sections which are very nice indeed. It's just a great resort. Even if you were solo, or just a couple, the adults only areas make it an option for you too. As for the actual rooms and resort, it's old but refurbished and well maintained. Established gardens are a delight. Rooms are simple but clean and up-to-date with many options. Our aircon was a bit noisey, and the kids mattress (folding day bed) was a bit hard, but we all slept well so I don't care. I would probably rate the rooms themselves as a 3 star, (not five star), but evidently the vast and comprehensive array of facilities and services push the hotel up into 5-star territory. If I was to be completely objective and balance rooms quality against quality of facilities and services, I would rate it 4.5 star realistically in my opinion. We will go again. Thanks Outrigger.

Never fails to evolve and impress!
Staff and facilities make this a must go to place for families and couples. From the welcome on arrival to the serenity of the adult pool area this resort has much to offer. The new central pool with the slide and inflatable gives both children and adults a hub to gather for fun , entertainment and memories to make. The Mei Mei and kid’s activities allow time for parents to relax and grab some time to themselves. Wonderful!

First time in Fiji & Outrigger
We stayed in the Ocean View Room with 2 children (1yr and 8yr). There was plenty of space and the rooms were very clean and well presented. The staff at Outrigger were one of the biggest highlights of our trip, they were always smiling and offering help and assistance where ever they could. The pool aerobics, guitar musicians and Ivi seafood restaurant were also big stand outs! We also LOVED the coffee frappes made by Susie in the Takia cafe! So refreshing and delicious. Highly recommend.

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort – A Truly Special Family Holiday
Although this review is a little delayed (we travelled in August 2025), our experience at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort was so memorable it absolutely deserves to be shared. This was our second time holidaying at the Outrigger, and once again it exceeded all expectations. We travelled as two families with 5 children in total aged between 6 and 9. The Kids Club was outstanding — so much so that our children regularly asked to attend two sessions a day! The care, energy and genuine warmth shown to them gave us complete peace of mind and allowed the adults to relax by the pool, have a massage or game of tennis. We spent countless hours snorkelling and paddling in the calm, turquoise waters, which were absolutely beautiful and full of marine life — a real highlight for both kids and adults alike. As always, the staff are what truly make this resort special. Every single person we encountered was welcoming, caring and genuinely happy to help. Their warmth and kindness create an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. The food across all restaurants was exceptional, with our sunset dinners at the Sundowner being a particular favourite - unforgettable views paired with fantastic meals. The food and beverage package is an absolute must and adds incredible value to the holiday, especially if you enjoy a cocktail or two. We loved our stay so much that we have already booked again for this year, this time returning with four families — which probably says everything. While it’s impossible to name everyone, a very special mention must go to Jone, Jone (x2!), Jonathan, Selai, Susanna, Sila, Big Mike, Adi Laite, Malakai, Sanimelia, Violet and Inoke — thank you for making our holiday so special. And a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Kids Club team — Seni, Hepi, Lita, Kiti, Ana, Livia and Iva — for taking such beautiful care of our children. You truly made their holiday unforgettable. We cannot wait to return again. Vinaka vakalevu, Outrigger Fiji — you’ll continue to hold a very special place in our hearts. Cheers Matt
