Website is deceiving. When researching the hotel looks lovelier. We enjoy staying in historical places, and expect things to be less than pristine. But, we were so disappointed, especially for the price! Run down, cramped, old furniture, sticky doors, balcony beat up and needs some major refurbishing. Learned our lesson: never stay in a hotel that is undergoing renovations! The bathroom was tiny and Motel 6-ish, Also heat/AC didn't function AT ALL! Luckily the weather was nice that week, but no one came up to our room to fix/check for the entire 3 nights we stayed. We are the kind of travelers that generally "roll with it', but so many things made for a less than satisfying stay. LOVED the city though!

Dec 12, 2025Omni Royal Orleans December 2025 visit
Omni Royal in New Orleans was a very good experience. Unfortunately, they are under renovations right now but did their best to keep it as concealed as possible. The new Fifi Paree coffee shop was a big plus. Super friendly and attentive staff with really good selections and taste. The Rib Room was amazing dining. I even had an extra shrimp cocktail sent to the room for late night snack each night of the stay. The delivery attendant were all amazing. Front desk (Page in particular) are super professional and accommodating. Basically, whatever I asked for I got and quickly. Make you feel the most important customer every time you see them. With renovation going on, the pool, and fitness centers were closed. 2 out of 3 elevators were down creating long waits on starting climbing stairs. ATM was even out of service. This would have been a no brainer 5 based on customer service and food quality alone but the elevators were a huge issue. The room with all the lights on was still too dark for us but everything worked including the wifi. great water pressure and hot water. We will definitely stay again. Even the valet parking was fast, professional, and courteous/personable.

This hotel fails to provide even the most basic amenities, especially for the price they charge. There were no microwaves available, and the mini-fridge in my room was completely nonfunctional. This created major inconvenience and forced me to exceed my budget, as I had no option but to eat out for every meal. For a week-long stay, this is completely unacceptable. Additionally, the hotel is significantly outdated in terms of technology. It’s clear that little to no effort is being made to reinvest profits into upgrading essential features or improving the overall guest experience. The high cost of the stay does not equate to the quality of the product being offered. Guests deserve far better for the price.

Dec 10, 2025An Extraordinary Stay Filled with Warmth and Grace
A delightful and extraordinary experience - from the warm and calming doorman to the friendly reception desk and efficient valet service. The room was clean, crisp, and just the right size for our stay; with a bottle of chilled champagne to celebrate my birthday. Dining at the Rib Room was an extraordinarily graceful delight: the prime rib meal was elevated, savory, tender, and a treat for the taste buds along with all that surrounded the meal. Service was impeccable from our waitress to management, all delivered in a warm and wonderful way.

Do not go here until they are done renovating. I'm sure what I experienced is not the normal stay, but due to the situation at the hotel it is currently not fit to stay in. I'll leave it at that. The maintenance people are very kind.
