Dec 28, 2025Not what we came to expect for this hotel
We are loyalty members for this hotel so, when I rate it as one star, I can honestly say that our stay was not what we were expecting for this hotel! This had to be by far the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel let alone an Omni! We, my husband and I were looking forward to our usual amazing vacation, we booked well in advance because we have in the past really enjoyed our stay here. After five months of teaching and my husband's health issues, we were looking forward to a relaxing get away. Again this is not our experience for this stay. First, at check-in, I was told that my card was declined because of ins. I know that that was impossible because I made sure that it had plenty of funds available on it. I was then told moments later that it was for insadential room charges in advance. I told them that I didn't want this to be charged for me as I won't be charging anything to the room. Next, I was assured days a head of my stay that there would be a surprise for my husband's birthday waiting for us when we got to the room, it never happened. The front desk manager said that he would be reaching out to me privately, he never did. That's Three strikes in just the first day. The next day I woke up to a fraud alert from my CC, someone from the hotel tried to charge 507.25 to my card, the front desk is the only one that had access to it, they denied it! Needless to say, I denied that charge. Again, the front desk manager said that he would have been someone reach out to me, The never did, strike four! On the next day, we wanted to take our car out for a day trip, we were told by the parking attendant that the front desk had our keys due to a billing issue. We went to the front desk to inquire and were told that it was a mistake, strike five! At this point we asked to speak to the GM, we were told that she was not in. We told the front desk that we expect her to reach out to us tomorrow. We went to get our car and was treated extremely rudely by the older attendant that brought us our car, strike six! If you are looking for a hotel that will be a relaxing, curtious experience, do not come here, we definitely will not be back!

Exceptional customer service and cleanliness! We spent our second Christmas Eve here.We enjoyed the beautiful hotel. Scenic overlook of a river view room. Luxury bath products and delicious foods at the hotel.

Memorable Stay
Incredible view from our balcony! The Omni is right in the middle of all the action of the RiverWalk. You can walk to the Alamo, the Main Plaza, the Tobin Center and a plethora of restaurants including being 1 block from the extremely popular breakfast place La Panaderia. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in San Antonio!
