Excellent resort. The staff and entertainment team are first class ! My Christmas was perfect here at the hotel and such friendly people. The grounds are spotless and the Christmas theme was beautiful! I would recommend this hotel. Food in all of the restaurants was excellent and worthy of 5* rating. The buffet always had loads of choice and was kept tidy at all times. The rooms are very large and comfy. Bathroom also clean and fully serviced. Pool and beach were always happy with a great atmosphere. Yes people do reserve their sunbeds very early which is annoying but really is beyond the staff’s control! Only point I would make is there is nothing outside of the hotel other than the motorway if you want any shops or bars you have to go to playa del carmen and taxis are Very expensive like $60 return ! There may be a bus service at the end of the very long driveway but I was not offered that option. There is a free excursion run by the hotel but it does require jewellery store and tequila tasting then 2 1/2 hrs in playa del carmen. That was my only negative but hey ho most people go there just for a week of sun, good food and fun 🤩 that is defo what you get !!

Angel at the buffet was great his service was on par of perfect!!! Thank you for making my wife and i's night special!. My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary of one year married.

Relaxing trip
My husband and I spent the week at Ocean Maya Royal. We had a relaxing time thanks to the amazing Leidy!! She took care of all our dinner reservations and mini bar requests. She checked up on us to make sure everything was taken care of. The beach service was top notch. Always on time to fill our drinks and order food. This was exactly what we needed. Thank you again Leidy!

Worst hospitality ever. Food is mediocre. Charged us more than they should and when complained, I was faced with racism. Do not recommend at all. They are all just money hungry

Treat You Like Family
We are back again for the fourth time this year to our favourite place. The staff here make you feel like family and take care of you at every turn. Luis and Omar are sensational in customer service. We spend a lot of time at the pool bar with Miguel, Eber, Jony and Diego. Our favourite restaurant is La Dolce Vita and the Godfather Jorge is the absolute best. Alberta and José always take care of us there. Jorge and JoJo in the lobby are top notch. We cannot wait to return!!
