Great vacation but some downfalls
My wife spend 10 days here in November of 2022 and overall we have a great relaxing vacations. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the cleaning staff and restaurant staff are great. The girls they have greeting visitors at the main buffet are so friendly, but there were a couple things that need improvement. 1) Al la carts, because we were here 10 days we had the choice of picking 7 al la carts but the reservation process was sloppy and we only got to go to 4 of the 7. I went to book my al la carts and was told I can only pick 3 at a time and to come back the following week to book the the rest. I specifically wanted the steak place and was told to do it Monday morning. First thing Monday morning I went to book it and was told there would be nothing available for the week. Not pleased as I was there for 10 days. 2) Breakfast, I'm super easy going when on vacation but unless you go first thing in the morning (6am) you will not get bacon. Once the tray is done, no refills. 3) on the weekends when the locals come in, the bar staff completely ignores you. I stood at the centre of the swim up bar for 35 minutes while locals would come and go and no one asked me if I needed help. I don't expect to be served as soon as I walk up but I felt invisible. Only after yelling out if anyone could see me did someone come to serve me. That was a reoccurring comment from many of the vacationers I spoke too. Okay stay but better hotels for the money

Great hotel but i would avoid the rooms in the "First Club" buildings.
We got to the hotel at midnight because of plane technical issues, and we were welcomed by only 2 people at the front desk which took care of the check-ins for several flights with different levels of services (VIP, easy check-in...). It was very long to get checked in. We had booked a room at ground level because my wife got injured 2 weeks before our vacation and they put us in a room on the 3rd floor with no elevators. But they told us that we can ask for a change of rooms the next day, which we did through our Air Transat rep, and it turned out great as we got bumped up and had a room at ground level. The rest of our week was very pleasant. The food was good at the buffet and at the "a la carte" restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the couple we traveled with stayed in the same building where we were the first night and they had issues with the AC not working adequately, the tv not working at all and the coffee machine spilling hot water every where but not through the coffee. We also had issues, in our first room, with the AC which was leaking the whole night. If you want to buy some sipping rhum to drink on site, bargain them as low as you can. Expect to pay 20-25 US dollars more than what it’s worth. If you can wait, the best prices are at the airport duty free.

Mr.
Excent service. Staff plaisant. Très très propre. Repas delicieux. Why forcing people to enter 200 or more character. To me, EXCELLENT is enough. I should not have to substiantiate. This shall be my last survey on trip advisor.

It was pretty good
I would say this resort is a solid 3/5. Nothing special, I feel like for the price we paid you can go to a nicer resort. The rooms were okay and decently clean, and the mattress was good. We had an ocean view room booked and realized we had two double beds, we requested a king, and they moved us to another room and we had a "partial ocean view" where you could basically see a sliver of the ocean lol. This wasn't a huge deal. However, we ran out of towels very often, even when requesting new ones for the rooms it would take hours to actually get one. The food was alright, the best restaurant in our experience was the Mexican one, the best meal we had all trip. It was the first place we ate at and the rest of the food there could not top it and was not the greatest... The pizza and taco bars were good late at night but I wish there were more options. It was also very difficult to reserve dinner reservations. You basically had to wake up a 7 to get to the lobby to book. All restaurants are open on different days, so try to do this ahead of time. Snack bar by the pool had the same food every day. We got sick of this eventually. We also had an issue when booking a reservation where I went to the lobby, booked the reservation, then when we went to the restaurant, they did not have our names listed... Another thing I'm not sure about was just a personal experience, but we got very sick after two days. We did not use any tap water, only bottled. So I'm not sure if it is their ice or food prep that got us sick. On the last day, thank god it was the last morning before departing home, we saw a cockroach in the syrup bowls at the breakfast buffet by the beach. They have locals stay at the resort on weekends. I noticed that the pool bar was completely full during the weekends due to this. Not a big deal but kind of annoying considering you'd be standing there waiting about 10 mins for a drink at the pool and it's the only pool bar on the resort. Entertainment was pretty unorganized, boring, and low quality. Same things every night, such as karaoke... Nothing memorable. We had more fun going to the lobby where they had local artists play live music. The lobby bar is the best bar at the resort. Overall, we did enjoy just having time together, by the ocean, and relaxing from our busy lives. But I would not spend money to go here again.
