Family Vacation
Everything was amazing. We will share with our family and friends. We hope to return with our family again in the not so distant future.

Nice beach and pools but terrible room
We spent for 3 nights. The room AC temperature was very cold that was unable to adjust. We called the maintenance but it did not work at all. It turned out that we had to put on jacket for sleep☹️. In addition, the bathroom shower water was not hot … I would say it was not even warm. Again, the maintenance was not working at all. We called several times, but it seemed no solution. We asked for changing room but they said the rooms of the entire hotel were fully booked. It was unbelievable! Furthermore, the gym has no AC!!! I have no word to describe…

Family Stay
Outstanding location next to Xcaret Park. The service is spectacular and the food at the Beach Club is phenomenal - particularly the omelette station during breakfast service. I love the Beach Bar, Lobby Bar and Snack Bar. La Hacienda is a tremendous Mexican restaurant we loved the food and service.

Near perfection...
We had a few teething issues on arrival. We were unhappy with our room, which was a disappointment. However, management were very good and resolved this promptly. We were given another room which we were happy with. The hotel itself is beautiful and the setting is wonderful. Seeing the wildlife has definitely been a highlight. The beach is glorious and the pool areas are great. We were happy to discover an adults only section around the pool. The food was standard buffet fare. Personally, I didn't like the main restaurant as it was busy, overcrowded and felt like feeding time at the zoo! The service was very hit and miss throughout our stay. Some waiters were cheerful and helpful, whereas others were miserable and took a while to acknowledge us waiting to take our drinks orders. I would highly recommend booking the steak house, as we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was exemplary. In summary, we generally enjoyed our stay and sincerely hope the hotel recycles as much as possible.

The resort is great, the food is possibly dangerous.
I really wish that food wasn't an issue at this resort. The jungle, the pools, the man-made beach were all great. Service was usually very good and the circus show was quite good. I have been to Mexico and the Caribbean about 15 times and I know what I'm doing, never had an issue before. The food. Food at the buffets was often not hot enough to be safe or not kept cold enough to be safe. A few times food tasted off, like it was too old or something. 9 people were in our group and we all had some amount of gastrointestinal issues. 2 of us were sick for a few days at resort and then a week at home. A few were sick for a few days and a couple were just quickly sick for a day. All our symptoms were the same - sudden diarrhea with no other symptoms. We all eat a variety of ways so it would be hard to identify one thing. Another thing is that over the counter medications did not seem to help much - like food-borne illnesses. Someone on a post I made asking about other's experiences said that they stick to the omelet and pasta stations, which seems smart BUT be wary of ingredients that spoil quickly like seafood and other meats.
