  Good location Hotel

  I feel this is a good bang per buck hotel within close vicinity to food and bars. It’s a good 5 mins walk to Argentina road. Only negative is it’s missing a pool for a hotel of this type. The room is clean and adequate for the 3 of us sharing a king size bed with our daughter. The breakfast buffet staff very pleasant. The food was limited but was good. We had a nice view of the city, I would book again.

  Practical City Hotel with Easy Uber Access but rooms show wear

  We stayed at Novotel Panama City as a family and found it to be a functional, dependable city hotel, best suited for short stays and sightseeing rather than comfort-driven or luxury travel. Location & Getting Around At first, we were a bit concerned about the location as it feels more residential than touristy. However, this turned out not to be an issue at all. Uber in Panama City is extremely clean, convenient, and inexpensive—most rides were only USD $3–4, even for larger vehicles. We visited many tourist spots around the city and found the location convenient and efficient for getting around. Rooms The rooms were reasonably spacious but felt quite worn. The laminate floors were lifting in places and dusty, which made the room feel less well maintained than expected. Upper floors do have floor-to-ceiling windows, which bring in plenty of natural light and were a nice feature. Overall comfort was acceptable, but the condition of the rooms could use attention. Service Service throughout the hotel—including reception and restaurants—was adequate but nothing memorable. Staff were polite and professional, but not particularly warm or proactive. As an Accor Diamond member, check-in was smooth, but there was no notable recognition of status or added touches. This was fine for a short city stay, but worth noting for loyalty members. Dining & Breakfast We tried the on-site 365 restaurant. Service was adequate but not especially friendly; however, the pizza was surprisingly good. We also noticed a weekday lunch promotion, which looked like good value, though we didn’t get a chance to try it. Breakfast was adequate, with a reasonable selection. I appreciated the inclusion of Panamanian breakfast options, which added a nice local touch. Gym & Facilities The gym is quite small but functional and does its job for a basic workout. The kids’ playroom by the lobby was a nice touch. It’s small but well used and gave children a simple place to play while parents waited. Overall Novotel Panama City is a practical, no-frills option. It offers reasonable value, very easy transportation via Uber, and decent basics, but shows wear in the rooms and delivers only standard service. It works well if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city and just need a functional place to return to at the end of the day.

  Surprisingly Luxurious and Affordable

  Our experience at the Novotel Panama City was exemplary as they fully exceeded our expectations, in the service, the comfort, or the food and beverage. We got a suite with a separate living room and bedroom, with an enormous bathroom. The amenities include two flat screen TVs, refrigerator, safe, personal coffee machine, excellent wifi, and a decent buffet breakfast. There is a bit of street noise in the evening but it quiets down after 11 PM. Location is outstanding because of the nearby subway station, it makes it a convenient place for exploring Panama City. Uber rides are very reasonable due to the central location with quick road access. If I returned to Panama City, I think it would probably be at the Novotel.

  Solid stay and friendly service

  I had a great stay here for two nights and would definitely stay again. The hotel was solid and very clean. The rooms were basic but spacious, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I also really appreciated that they allowed me to store my bags for a few hours after checkout, which made my last day much easier. Breakfast was excellent for the price, with plenty of options. There was an omelette station, a good variety of fruit and bread, and several hot items to choose from. Overall, a great value and a comfortable, hassle-free stay in Panama City.

  Ok, stay..but not perfect..rude and unwelcome night manager!!

  I was warmly welcomed by a very friendly gentleman and lady upon arrival, which created a positive first impression. However, I was disappointed that my Accor Gold status was not acknowledged, even though I presented my membership card at check-in. The room itself had a few issues. The TV was not functioning, and there was no remote to be found. It took some time for the issue to be resolved. Additionally, several lights in the room were not working, which also required attention from the maintenance team. The view was looking down on a dirty roof top with what seemed to be broken air-conditioned Room service was used on the first day of my stay, but the dishes were not cleared and remained in the room until checkout three days later, which was unexpected. The cleaners of the room were not very well done. You can clearly see that it is a 10 minute quick job and not a proper cleaning system in place. On a more positive note, the food & and beverage and bar experienceweres excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the chef kindly prepared a healthy egg white omelette on request. It was also a nice touch that the chef came out to personally check on guests during breakfast. However, I did encounter an issue on the last night of my stay. I was charged a reduced fee for having a guest, which I accepted, but the interaction with the night shift staff was disappointing. They were unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable, as though I had done something wrong. My guest was also left feeling embarrassed by the situation and the way it was handled. In this day and age, a more respectful and understanding approach is needed. While the stay overall was acceptable, I believe the staff could benefit from further training in customer service and communication to ensure all guests feel welcomed and respected.
