My family and I recently visited Nickelodeon Riviera Maya. We had been here back in 2023 and enjoyed it then too, but this trip was so much better. All of the staff at this resort are amazing; the slime squad does an amazing job at engaging the kids whether it be interactions with characters, the amazing entertainment, or even simple sand play at the beach. Restaurant and Lounge servers are always so accommodating and polite, but the crew that made our trip one that will be forever remembered was our butlers, Sandro was great, he welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel at home, he was amazing, but the outstanding service that will have us coming back to this resort specifically came from Antonio. He made sure our family always had seats for the entertainment, dinner reservations at restaurants, he even managed to give my boys special experiences on rainy days, and always ensured we had everything we needed, and always with a smile on his face. His high fives for my boys that turned to gentle hugs when it was time for them to leave, and our boys asking when we will get to see him again. We have pondered the thought of going to another resort on our next vacation but after the special touches that Antonio and Sandro had done for our family to make it so much more special we are planning to come back and request them again.

We decided to end our trip staying here for a few days (coming from Fairmont Mayakoba )as we had done a day trip to the water park last year and my boys loved it. Unfortunately there was just no help from concierge trying to figure out the resort once we had arrived . You’re basically on your own. It’s almost like there is no actual concierge in the hotel. There are pools and restaurants and no one help to help you put it all together. It’s almost like being in a super expensive youth hostile. Visit the water park for the day but stay elsewhere

Overpriced and disappointing: not worthy of a Four-Diamond resort
Nickelodeon Resort was a major disappointment. Besides being very expensive, almost everything comes with an extra charge. If you want a table with a TV at breakfast, you have to pay; if you want to sit closer during the show, you have to pay—and the list goes on. The rooms are nicely themed, which kids enjoy, but if you want standard amenities typical of hotels in this category—such as slippers—you have to pay for them. This resort is rated Four Diamonds, which should imply exceptional service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For example, the shuttle drivers do not greet guests or help them get in. In general, when you ask for something, you are either told it is not possible or that it costs extra. In our case, we asked if my bracelet key could open both rooms that I had booked for my family, and we were told it was not possible—even though my children were staying in the other room. There were some positive exceptions. The staff at the spa were very kind, and the entertainment team was also excellent and very dedicated. But aside from those cases, we honestly do not understand how this resort received four diamonds—especially since we had just stayed at The Grand at Moon Palace, another resort with the same rating that is far superior. I would not recommend it. If you still want to visit, do not stay more than two nights. We stayed five nights, and after one day we had already seen almost the entire resort and the water park. If possible, it is better to stay at another resort and simply buy a one-day pass to the water park. You will likely enjoy it more and not feel that you wasted your money. The six restaurants are quite basic for a resort with such a high rating. The food is not bad, but I definitely expected more. At the water park we also had an uncomfortable situation: we were asked to leave two seating areas that were supposedly “reserved.” At first we assumed they were reserved for hotel guests because they were blocked off with plastic bands around the chairs. However, it turned out these were premium areas that required an additional fee, and they consisted of nothing more than a few chairs near the water attractions or loungers in a sandy area—not something particularly special. Like many Cancun resorts, they will also try to sell you membership packages. Because of our poor experience from the first day, we had no interest in attending the presentation. However, if you are willing to spend the time, they will offer incentives such as massages, a private slime shower (green water with a rather unpleasant smell—although my daughter loves it), or a late check-out, since guests must leave the resort at 11:00 AM and cannot stay afterward. Positive points: The themed decoration, meeting the characters, the entertainment team, massages for kids, and the daycare. We also want to highlight Felix, the best driver in the entire resort. He was the only truly friendly one—he plays SpongeBob songs, tells stories to the kids, and even drives in zigzags to make them laugh while they sing Nickelodeon songs on the shuttle ride. He deserves all the diamonds in the world. We would also like to thank Alex (Piazza restaurant) and Lili (Good Burger) for their kindness and attentive service. Overall, this is a place I will not return to and cannot recommend.

Nickelodeon has something for kids of all ages!
During this trip we spent 4 nights here and 4 at the resort next door. Nickelodeon is a fantastic location! The rooms are very large and every room is a swim up! Our two butlers, Stephany and Sandra did everything they could to make our stay even better. Every day they informed us of events and restaurant hours. The nightly shows were excellent and the water park is amazing! The water park has something for everyone, my wife and I enjoyed the 2 lazy rivers while our kids spent most of the day screaming down the water slides. The food at all the restaurants was fantastic, our favorite was the Italian restaurant located at the main lobby. If you have younger kids or old they will find fun things to do here.

Amazing fun like always
This is our 3rd trip to Nickelodeon! Always amazing fun and tons of activities. I would like to mention Sandro, Antonio, and Stephanie were very attentive and had great communication with me every single minute I needed them. I was very impressed! Keep up the good work and I am sure I will see you if not this year definitely next year!
