  Serious Safety Concern During Late-Night Room Check

  This stay was extremely upsetting due to a serious safety issue. Around 12:30 a.m., a hotel employee conducted a room check without knocking or announcing himself. I was in the room with my sister and three infants under one year old, which caused immediate fear and confusion. Following the incident, we were told by the Manager on Duty that we had to leave the property before 6:30 a.m. and that this needed to happen quietly. We were pressured to vacate in the middle of the night with infants, which felt unsafe and inappropriate. When I asked to see the hotel policy regarding late-night room checks, I was told it was not written. The situation was not handled with proper de-escalation, documentation, or concern for child safety. The resort itself is beautiful, but guest safety and incident handling — especially involving families with small children — need serious improvement.

  If you have to take a plane to get here just don’t.

  In need of new management. It has positives but the negatives sour what could be a great vacation. The good : Rooms are very nice and clean. Room service staff is friendly. The coffee in am at 6 th floor is good. Gym is pretty good. Restaurants have to be scratched and staff replaced. Food is catered for mexican taste but limited that is not your thing. If you are with kids do not go to the buffet. You can wait for 20 mins for pasta with butter. They offer ‘better’ food for a price but not worth it either. We asked staff for mayo and the server said they did not have any. Asked later another server and they reached into a cabin 4 feet away and brought some. The worst. Waiting for the van to transport in peak hours can be about 20-30 mins. In the buffet although there are free tables you have to wait to be seated. Dont understand why they dont get rid of that policy, let you get your own drinks and use staff to clear tables. With better food and moving breakfast to the main hotel this would be revamped easily. Nobody comes here without kids. Charging uss 60 for a pair of flip flops when your kid lost theirs is a rip off and there is no need.

  Thanks to Adonis, Stephany, Daniela, Moy my Exotica Family!!!, Antonio at the Paw Patrol Cabana, Jorge at the Bistro, Nadya at Good Burger, Alex with the spicy drinks at Good Burger Bar, Dina at the Aqua Nick Water Park , Shout out to Sponge Bob and the Ninja Turtle that gave me the chest bump it was a wild vacay!!!

  Wonderful family vacation

  We stayed at the Nickelodeon Resort for 4 nights with our 3 kids and it was amazing. The resort was super nice. Everything was clean and well kept. We had our own pool on our balcony and the water was not too cold to swim in like others have said on here. The kids loved it. We spent most of our time at the water park during the day which was great. Lots of things for kids and adults. The food overall was pretty good for an all inclusive. Service at the restaurants was outstanding. Shout out to Ivan who helped us get everything scheduled! Also Jesus the bartender at the swim up bar was awesome and so kind! Character breakfast was excellent and lunch with the ninja turtles was great as well. The shuttle ride to the waterpark and lobby area was only 3 to 5 minutes at most. Highly recommend this resort for a family vacation!

  Greedy.

  My experience is for the day trip to go to the water park. We paid $600US for 2 adults, and two boys (6 and 9) to go to the water park, as we were staying at another nearby resort, Grand Velas. Grand Velas is beautiful but does not have water slides, different vibe. So we wanted to let the boys have a fun day at a water park! At first it was pretty fun, we got there right when it opened and beat the crowd for the water slide lines which I would recommend. Get chairs right away, people ‘save’ them and it gets hard to find shade after a couple of hours even half the people are not actually using the chairs. Food was fine, it was what we expected from other reviews. Service was quick. When we left through the gift shop we were checking out the Garfield merchandise with our older boy and buying him a water bottle which was $40 but he loved it. We looked for our younger son who doesn’t venture too far, and he was being told off by an employee because he had accidentally bumped into a water bottle and it broke. She was showing him how it was broken and he looked scared. I came over to ask what was required of me and she said I had to buy it and I said fine, and bought it. But this left a very bad taste in my mouth. Then I asked someone where to get a taxi and they said main lobby, so we went there. At main lobby I asked for some help to get a taxi and mentioned my family was just inside getting some air conditioning. The worker told me to get them out immediately as we were not paying guests, and to walk back to the park. This service was bad but maybe norms for the area, grand Velas is definitely a different class. We were planning on going to Nickelodeon next year but not after this.
