Bad outdated hotel with overpriced breakfast.
First thing you notice - moldy smell covered with cheap perfume at the entrance of the hotel. Our room was on the first floor, by the looks of it hotel was last updated 20 -30 years ago. Faucet in the shower was barely working, water was running and hissing from every crack, bottom piece was about to come out. Bathroom overall is outdated. Room smelled moldy too. All the furnishings look 30 yo, except mattress was brand new and bed was comfortable. Then breakfast - we were charged $35 (including tax) for a person for the buffet. That buffet didn’t have a single vegetable. Scrambled eggs looked very slimy. Selection was limited to 4 hot dishes: eggs, potatoes, blini and bacon/sausage. Not any cold cut or cheeses, or anything special to elevate it to 35$ level. I do not recommend this hotel and I would never come back.

Great value hotel
Lovely stay, despite our late night arrival staff was cheerful and keen to help us with hurricane updates. Well kept and tidy facilities. Location is 5 minutes from the airport and well connected to the rest of the city. Definitely my first choice when visit Miami again.

DON'T STAY HERE EVEN IF IT'S FREE!!
This is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. Stayed here for one night and was told the water was complimentary due to silver elite status. Also, the sheets were stained with a former guest's body fluids and we were expected to sleep in that! Upon checkout, I was told there was a zero balance but when I received my statement, there was a $6.00 charge for water. After 12 emails and finally a call from the GM (supposedly), I get a "Sorry, there is nothing we can do...." Just ripped up the Marriott Visa and will NEVER stay at any Marriott brand EVER again. Don't say you weren't warned.

Getting cheap ?
More than a year since my last stay. Pretty much the same old place. Note worthy though is the absence of a room clock. There is no longer a clock in the room, thus one has to call the front desk in order to find out what time it is. Seems that they're getting cheap. It's a necessary item IMHO, as travelers come from all over, and don't always have the local time all set up. Unless of course, they are only catering to locals. Fitness room still the same, with rusting and chipped weights. Other equipment work fine. Some benches though need to be maintained.....one can literally fall off as the seats are not level.

Overnight before a Cruise
Stayed at the Courtyard overnight before boarding our cruise ship. Nice hotel, close to the airport and 20 minutes to the cruise terminal. Much quieter than expected being close to the airport and busy roads. The only negative was the overpowering perfume aroma in the lobby. Full disclosure, I’m sensitive to strong aromas like this, but everyone in our party remarked on how strong it was.
