We would stay here again, and will do so in September.
Third time at this hotel and the service and reception was excellent. The location of this hotel is the big draw for us. It is literally a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and even a shorter walk to the Metro. The rooms are small, but well designed, and not to belabour a point, one does not go to Paris to stay in a hotel room. There was a small fridge in the room, along with a small safe. There were plug ins for usb cables, so recharging phones and computers was not a problem When we booked, breakfast was not included. You could purchase breakfast each morning for 20 Euros per person. We have had breakfast here before on our previous stays, and it is very good. We decided to skip breakfast and explore Paris and have a Parisian breakfast of coffee and croissants. The staff was helpful and very professional. Well done all !

A great 2 night stay at Hôtel Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel
We had a great 2 nights at the Hôtel Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel from the 22nd to 24 December 2025 (4 of us, with 2 each to a room). Having read some of the reviews I was a bit wary about staying here, but there was absolutely no need to be worried. The reception area is very nice and welcoming, there was a huge well dcorated Christmas tree alongside a few other small Christmas trees, the lighting was good and seating area comfortable. We arrived just after 1pm and the man and lady on reception were very friendly and chatty. We were able to check in straight away and were in rooms 608 and 609. This review is for room 609 and the room was more than adequate, a nice comfortable bed with large TV on the wall and a bed settee that we did not need to use as a bed. The shower room and toilet are seperate. if you are a very large person, you may struggle with the size of them. The toilet flush rquires you to press and hold, then wait for the botton to come fully back out before being able to use it again. The shower was very nice, hot water, good pressure and shower gel was supplied. The TV is mainly French channels as expected, however I did enjoy watching a couple of hours of the channel France 24 on the first night and its very good. I'll continue to watch it now I am back home. There was not much of a view, but really who cares, how much time are you spending in your room and if you are spending time there, how much time do you spend looking out of the window :) The wardrobes were fine for a few days stay, 4 hangers are supplied and enough space to store everything. A kettl and tea, coffee, sugar are supplied, but not milk. We had read about this so brought our own small milk sachets with us, the tap water is fine and you can drink it or use for your cup of tea or coffee. All the staff I encountered were friendly and I enjoyed a glass of Rose in the bar on day one. Thre are 3 lifts and occasioanlly one would be out of order but we were never waiting long for one. The location is fantastic and soooo close to the Eiffel Tower, however apart from the Trocadero there is not to much else in the area. As we were a group of 4 we found it easier to get to other areas using Uber, I would imagine most people use the Metro though. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, we would definitely return again. Thanks Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel for making our stay most comfortable and enjoyable.

Great position. Clean hotel. Very rude receptionist
Queue to check at around 10pm . Faced with THE rudest receptioist i have ever encountered. Being told you had to pay an extra 100 euros ( she said it should ne 400) as a security deposit for your room to ensure your room. I pointed out we have already paid up front..we were met with her saying "no extra deposit i am refusing to give you your room key". At that point she removed her sparkly named lanyard !She didnt like the fact we paid cash for our tourist tax as it meant she had to move to fetch a cash box. Refused a printed receipt and scribbled on a post it note. She also told us she never spends this long checking in guests and would we move away from her desk!. She ibviosly received a suitable reply!! Eventually we arrived in our room. Clean and comfy. Kettle and coffee provided but no tea or milk. Paper cups. Hotel is in a fab position 5 min walk from the eifel tower . You have a spectacular view every time you leave the hotel. Didnt have breakfast as 20 euros per day. Did have evening meal hear which was 3 times cheaper than restaurants in the close area. The food was good quality and served by a very nice polite gentleman . I wojld recommend the hotel as it is modern and clean a very close to tge stop of the hop o hop off tourist bus and the start of the River cruises. Just hope your not met by the very rude receptionist !

Good location for sight seeing
Convenient location for sight seeing. We had read the reviews before travelling and were a little cautious. Check in was quick, quite informative. No where was it mentioned you were expected to pay 50 euros per night as a security deposit on a credit card that you can expect to get back within 7 days of departure. Bit naughty really. Breakfast was over 20 euros per person per night for basically crossiant and coffee. Much better experience, quality and price outside the hotel. Lots of nice places to choose to eat for any meal. Yes some expensive but plenty of choice. Hotel and room was clean. Don’t know where the reviewers say it needs a revamp we saw no evidence. Housekeeping was a little hit and miss first couple of days it had been done before we got back, last 2 days knocked on late afternoon just requested change of towels and empty bin. Surprisingly last day they knocked on at 9am to clean but rude when check out wasn’t until 11am. Beds were comfortable, bedding and towels all clean and fresh. Kettle and sachets of drinks, paper cups no milk. We take our own sachets so didn’t bother us. It is pretty much a business hotel so check out was quite busy in a morning. Good luggage storage if you have a later flight. Metro stations quite close by. We would stay again basically for the location. Eiffel Tower is literally outside the hotel.
