Two week stay at Melia Puerto Vallarta
We selected this resort mainly for the reason that it offered tennis. Since the courts at the resort were under construction the resort arranged for us to play at nearby resort. We were able to play every day. One person in Guest services named Alberto was exceptionally helpful. On several occasions he was able to help us making our time at the resort most enjoyable.

Love all the fun activities
Came to celebrate my son’s 2nd birthday! We had so much fun with all the activities. Yunsel is the best! He is fun and entertaining! Always wants to bring everyone together to have fun! Thank you, yunsel and all the employees!

They saved our Honeymoon!
After having Canto del Sol cancel our room through Expedia two days into our stay and demand we pay a premium price for the two days we had already stayed, Meliá saved our honeymoon from being a complete disappointment. Saul at check-in welcomed us with a refreshing smile and warm customer service even though it was 10pm at night when we left the god awful Canto del Sol. He put us in the most gorgeous room. Victor, the bell boy was a joy and so helpful as well. The beds are the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in on any trip to PV. Everyone who worked at the resort was pleasure. Uleses at the lobby bar went out of his way to get us Serrano peppers to make us spicy margaritas. What a difference in customer service. The bartenders at Canto del Sol told us no several times when we requested espresso martinis. The espresso martinis were flowing at Meliá and they served them with a smile. Christian at the lobby bar was excellent as well. We ate at the Fish House and the Mole & Tacos restaurants. Both were great but the sauce in the mussel casserole at the fish house was addicting. It was so good we poured it on everything. They included special touches like bringing us a bottle of champagne and some sweet treats not only to our room but as a dessert at the fish house too. The resorts champagne that’s included in the package was so good too. I’ve never had such good champagne at any all inclusive. Even my husband who isn’t normally a fan of champagne loved it. We had to check out at noon but they stored our items and let us use a hospitality room to change before our flight. They even let us use our all inclusive privileges up until we had to leave. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and if you see Saul when you’re about to check in, make sure you try to get him. We’ll definitely be back and a HUGE thank you to Melia for rescuing our vacation and honeymoon.
