Mar 27, 2026Spring break at Melia Casa maya
We had a great trip! Beautiful resort, great location. Loved the beach, pool, and water park. All of the staff were amazing, especially our concierge, Victor. We upgraded to the Level and we did not have to worry about a thing. Very family friendly, lots of kids (which was great for us). Loved the activities and shows. Entertainment staff was top notch. Food was good, always lots of options.

Great for Families,
We went to the Meliá Casa with our daughter and grandkids ages 4 and 6. Positives One very large nice pool with both a shallow end for the little ones and deep end for swimming and lots of loungers around the pool. A great waterpark with a variety of slides for the little ones and large slides for teens and older. Some loungers available in the waterpark and even a bar and small restaurant so you can stay there for hours if you wish. Beautiful wide beach with soft white sand and plenty of Loungers. Three restaurants that you need to book reservations were all very good. Easiest and fastest way to book reservations was using the hotel app, otherwise you need to stand in a long lineup at 9am to book. The buffet restaurant like most buffets was OK with plenty of variety but not as good as the restaurants. Entertainment around the pool everyday was very good, yoga, water fit , games etc.and even a foam party one afternoon . Mariana the Entertainment Director at the pool is outstanding, so friendly to everyone, and her energy to keep going all day long is just amazing. Some good entertainment at night for the kids with a Pirate show a headphone dance party, and one night a pair of guys that make fabulous balloons for the kids that is not to be missed. Rooms We had a standard room which was nice but could use a few minor tweaks to make it better. It only had one dresser for clothes even though there was plenty of spots to add another one, so not enough storage for everyone, especially if you have kids. The bathroom was large however there was only one hook to hang towels even though there is plenty of space to add more hooks, or to add some shelving to put your toiletries. Beds were very comfortable. We’d like to give a big shoutout to one particular employee that went beyond her call of duty for us. I HOPE MANAGEMENT SEES THIS AND RECOGNIZES HER IN SOME WAY,! We were at the Buffett having dinner one night and my granddaughter left a small bag on her chair that contained prescription glasses and sunglasses. We searched the resort for a couple of days, went to the lost and found to no avail but luckily one day Estafinia From the Buffett overhead our conversation about the missing bag and remembered that she took it to lost and found. She went to the lost and found as she knew where it was placed ….and found it! She made our week. What a Kind and Caring young lady! Thank you Estafinia! The Melia is a small resort which made it easy to get around especially with the little ones. Overall we had a great time at the Melia, we would go back, and we would definitely recommend it for a family vacation.

Great experience at this hotel!
We had an absolutely incredible stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, we loved the boutique feel small, intimate, and so family-oriented. Everything was just steps away, and we were always able to get into the restaurants quickly, which made the experience feel effortless and relaxing. The level access was great and got all the extra perks. Our room on the eighth floor had a breathtaking ocean view—waking up to that every day was unreal with kitchenette perfect with my toddler. The beach was truly phenomenal: tons of space, beautiful setup, and so many fun activities to enjoy. The service completely made this trip unforgettable. Huge shoutout to Juan at the front desk, Jonathan at the grill restaurant, Alberto at the Italian restraint. and Rodivor and Benjermin on the beach!!! they went above and beyond every single day, always making sure we had the perfect spot and everything we needed. Always checking on in on us at the beach. Never a second we thought that no one around. Just amazing. There are only three à la carte restaurants, but honestly, every single one was delicious and exceeded expectations. We’re already talking about coming back!!such a memorable experience! Thank for the service

Mar 23, 2026Nice Resort but Traveler Beware
Melia Casa Maya is a beautiful property in Cancun. Our room was spacious and the beach was beautiful. Food and beverage service was terrible. You had to work hard to get someone’s attention to beg for a drink and it was most likely not what you asked for and was made completely different each time you ordered. Staff seemed generally annoyed by visitors. I have to imagine they are not treated or trained well. I’ve never had such a poor service experience while traveling. Food was fine. Not great but not also nothing to complain about. After trying to give Melia the benefit of the doubt for most of our stay, our trip ended with several items being stolen from our room. This experience has left us feeling personally violated and overwhelmed. More than anything, frustrated that a family trip we spent so much time planning and looking forward to, was completely tainted by the events of the last day. Not to mention we spent our last evening and morning at the resort working with security on the investigation. Do not make the same mistake we did. Choose a more reputable brand for your travels to Cancun.

Not worth it at all. Paid for Level never received a concierge staff “that was suposed to be assigned”. Very small food options specially for kids. Our Room/Suite smelled like sewage (2722). To make reservations for the restaurants was ridiculous. It could only be done the on same day and not in advance. In addition, you had to be in line at 8am and it opens at 9am. So for about whole hour in line. Room service did not have many options. For Breakfast empty trays and not being re-stocked fast enough. I didn’t even get to try the bacon once during my stay it was always empty. Alcohol is served after 11am :(
