My daughter and I stayed at Maui Seaside Hotel for 10 days so we could enjoy the island. The location is convenient to the airport (they do have a limited shuttle that you need to schedule) and it felt central to all the touristy things we all want to do while on Maui. I know they are renovating some of the rooms so we stayed in a non renovated room and it was nothing spectacular. It was spotless, it’s just an older hotel. Completely served the purpose of sleeping and having a private space to keep your things. There’s a mini fridge in the room so you can keep a few things in there. There was no microwave in the room, (I believe you can request one for your room) however they have a hospitality suite with a microwave that you can use so that’s nice. Bring your water bottle they have two water stations where you can fill your bottle with refreshing cold water so you don’t have to drink out of plastic bottles. Now for the part that made our stay exceptional, the grounds are immaculate and the staff is phenomenal! Also the little “private” beach area right at the hotel was so nice for walking on the beach or swimming in the ocean. They have a little outdoor shower for when you get off the beach so make sure you find that and don’t drag the sand into your room. The pool area is well maintained and comfortable. The gas fire pits to sit around of an evening just made it feel pretty luxurious! They have a beautiful lawn with yard games, as well as a movie night (with popcorn and hot chocolate) and a game night. I loved the chairs around the pool and spent a lot of time there, drinking coffee, reading my books, and making some lovely new friends. I was sad to leave and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Really nice, clean rooms, very nice property
We stayed one night in a first floor room by the pool, and one night in an ocean front suite on the first floor. The rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. The hotel has a small, quite beach in the bay. We walked across the street to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner one night, and ate in the on-site restaurant for dinner one night and breakfast one morning. The property is very well maintained and parking on-site is free and easy. I would definitely stay here again. The location is convenient except that there are limited places in walking distance for restaurants, etc.

Lovely beachfront stay — relaxing, warm and welcoming
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Maui Seaside Hotel. The structure itself is a little older, but still charming and well looked after — the type of place that has character and a relaxed island feel rather than a modern corporate look. Even if the building shows some years, the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and peaceful, which made our stay really pleasant. One of the highlights is the location: right on the ocean, with beautiful views and direct access to the seafront. Waking up and stepping outside to see the water felt like a luxury in itself. The pool area is another big plus — spacious, clean, relaxing, with plenty of room to sit, sunbathe or unwind by the water. It’s the perfect spot to end the day after exploring the island. The rooms are simple but comfortable and functional. Nothing overly fancy, but everything we needed was there. A useful detail to know is that housekeeping is not automatic — you need to request room cleaning or fresh towels at the front desk. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s good to mention for those who expect daily service without asking. Once requested, service was quick and friendly. The staff truly stood out and made the stay memorable. Everyone we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and attentive. You can feel they care about guests and do their best to make the experience positive. Service felt personal rather than standard, which made us feel at home from the first day. Fe, in particular, was wonderful — polite, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, Maui Seaside Hotel is a great choice if you want a relaxed stay by the ocean with an authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. Not the newest hotel on the island, but very enjoyable, well-located, with a great pool, direct beachfront access, and truly amazing staff. We would happily come back.

Older motel-type Hotel but with an excellent location near airport and activities in the tropical north. No bar, one restaurant with limited hours. Not an attractive spot. Bad internet. But excellent for convenience.

wing foiler paradise
If the focus of your trip is wing foiling, you should definitely stay here. You can literally sail up to the hotel after a day in the harbor. And it's the closest hotel to Kanaha, too! The staff is super friendly. The grounds are immaculate. What more could you ask for? I'll be back.
