do not recomand this place at all
This is a very poorly managed facility for senior citizens. outdated rooms, unfriendly and rude reception. the pools look nice but it should not be under bonvoy. one hour checking in, restaurant under repair, dont waste money going here the experience will not be good

Hotel is fine. Service is not.
The hotel has been redone and it’s not bad at all. It’s actually pretty nice. It is huge with a number of restaurants and activities. We had 2 different groups check in on 2 separate days and had contrasting experiences with the staff. Freddi was polite, kind, and professional at check-in. I would hire her in a heartbeat. I appreciated her customer service. However, the rest of the staff the following day, when they had a full staff, were sticklers and did not make the check-in process an enjoyable or easy one. In fact, I would say they need further training in customer service and how to deal with customers. As an Ambassador member, I rarely post negative feedback as I work in the retail space, but this experience was unnecessarily frustrating and disappointing.

Grande Vista redeemed its reputation this trip
Owner here for 25 years. Much better than last say here in Dec '22. Right after covid the customer service and care for the property was abysmal. Poorly trained staff and room neglect (see my previous review). As of Jan '25 things have improved tremendously. It appears they have adequate and "trained" staff this time. Lobby and ALL staff were courteous, professional, helpful and very timely. I had a couple small issues that were resolved within minutes by friendly staff. I was told rooms were renovated (probably why my annual dues are more than 3x from when purchased) and the 2 bedroom was very clean, nicely decorated and unlike 3 years ago NO mold/mildew smell. The pools were packed on sunny days with people walking, enjoying the facilities such as golf, pickleball, exercise room, etc... I stayed at a sister property and then here so I could compare the two after a bad stay at Grande Vista 3 years ago. So glad I gave this place another try. I would definitely stay here again and they redeemed themselves in my eyes with a 4.5 rating.

Quality slipping!
We are loyal Marriott Vacation Club/Hotel customers. We have visited Grande Vista numerous times and feel the quality of the service is slipping! Staff used to be friendlier, more attentive to detail,and the quality of the rooms were better. Pools are still great and I love a quick round or two at the golf course.

Relaxing once we got checked-in
We enjoyed our stay at this location. Check-in is hectic and the parking options by the main building are limited during this time. The property is vast, but there are many vans to help with transportation. Staff were friendly and the property is clean. The pool area had a big screen for the football games. There are a ton of activities for families.
