Dec 14, 2024A 7 day experience with a sales pitch for time shares
The property is very nice with multiple pools and places to eat. They have a nice 9 hole golf course with reasonable prices. Rooms are very nice. maid service is every other day but in a 7 day stay they only cleaned our room twice. Did have a problem when we were all watching the Army/Navy football game at the central pool TV screen and with 5 minutes left in the game the Marriott manager turned off the game and put a movie on. She told us we could watch the rest of the game in our rooms because she needed to put the movie on the screen now. I was not very happy, at this resort with their sales pitch trying to sale a time shares for only $99,000 for 7000 points and then they tried to sale me 4000 points then 2500 points for $24,000.00 When they made their last offer they said I could never get these prices again because of Florida law which seems to be a lie since they then offered me a package to come back in 6 months and I could buy the timeshare at the same price. It may be an integrity challenge for the Marriott sales team trying to sale time shares..

During my stay at the Hotel Grande Vista in Florida, someone entered my room because the door didn’t close properly. They stole items from inside the room, and when I reported the incident to the hotel staff, they stated they would only search for the stolen belongings in the common areas. If they weren’t found there, they claimed there was nothing else they could do. Unsurprisingly, my belongings were never recovered due to the hotel’s poor door maintenance. Now, the hotel refuses to take responsibility. I strongly discourage staying at a hotel with such inadequate maintenance and a lack of security for its guests.

Nov 22, 2024Great location, amenities and 3br/3bath was perfect
We are vacation club members and this was our first time at this location. We were in a wonderful 3 bedroom 3 bath unit. Rooms were very clean and very large. Perfect for a family of four or more. Full kitchen and washer and dryer are key! The property was right next to a golf course which is great when you want to play somewhere close and not too expensive the property had multiple options for eating and even now offer room service from two of the restaurants. The food was very good, the bars had good drinks and they even have a place that serves burgers and hand soft serve ice cream. The property is pretty big and has a big lake with activities (fishing, pedal boats etc). At night you can see the fireworks from what I believe is seaworld. Perfect ending to an evening. We will be back

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
We checked in at the Marriott Grande Vista and had the most amazing experience. Our check-in lady was Olga who was simply awesome making sure we received the exact room we wanted to make our vacation really something special. I can’t say enough about how she called Kimani, the room control person to ensure we got the building and floor we wanted. This kind of service sets the Marriott head and shoulders above the rest. Thanks so much Olga , you are the best!!

Amazing location, friendly staff and excellent villa with view 🌴
Was a little worried as read the negative reviews but we had the most amazing time. The hotel is in a fabulous location for the parks and malls but also has various pools and grounds to relax. We had a 2 bed villa with friends which overlooked one of the smaller pools which was perfect as was quieter than some of the others. All the staff we encountered on site were super friendly with a smile. Our room was cleaned and serviced every 2 days without fail. We used the jacuzzi by our pool and being from the UK it was lovely to chat to American guests about their country. Yes the sales pitch being sent to the concierge was annoying but we just stood our ground and said “no thank you”. Yes they called us again during our stay and another no thank you. Would gladly stay again but would choose the room wisely, we were very lucky in the Golf village. Missing the sun already!
