  Good and bad together

  This is a tough review to write as my experience was so mixed. The facilities are excellent, wonderful pools, all well maintained, with friendly facilities staff (except for conierge and front desk, more on that later). Very queit and secluded so very relxing -- but that is part of the problem. You have to get in car to go to any restaurant or even for a coffee. The onsite dining facilities are mediocre and expensive, and, for a morning coffee, the onsite Brewstreet Cafe is simply awful: drab, slow: lackadaisical service, tepid coffee, and way too expensive. So you cannot even get a good coffee without driving somewhere. The reception staff and concierge all have attitude problems: over my 4 day stay, I did not interact with even one staff member who seemed to care. It made the stay pretty unpleasant. Which was a real shame since, as i said, the facilities are really nice and well-maintained and the seclusion is a real pleasure compared to the bustle of Orlando. So, there you have the good and the bad. They need to motivate their staff. I tend to think that they are not treated pqrticulqlry well, but just guessing.

  Weekend in Fl from Mi

  Great to practice golf in the middle of winter. Fantastic value, great range and short game. Condos were updated.

  A terrible property

  Awful. We thought we were getting the Marriott and wound up with motel 6. Furniture and carpeting my grandparents threw away decades ago. A tv so small I need a telescope to watch it and an old Mr coffee coffee maker.

  very clean place

  Very nice place! The rooms were exactly as they looked on line. Everything was nice, the amenities were great. The main pool area was very clean even when it was full. room was clean, as well as the grounds. The only disappointment we had was check out is at 10 not the usual 11. We asked for a little later check out and was denied late check out even though when we left at 9:59am there was no cleaning cart or cleaning employees to be seen. But that is okay we sat around in our vehicle in the parking lot, so I guess we used our $30.00 a day parking fee after all.

  Disappointing; don't let them put you just anywhere

  I stayed here for 2 nights prior to business meetings starting 12 Jan 26 and was excited about the amenities and space. The room (a 1 bed "villa" in a large buildling) is very comfortable and well appointed. BUT... 1) I wanted a late checkout on Monday 12 Jan (yes, these are not automatically available for this property, but still I had decent status with Bonvoy). I called the day before checkout and was told maintenance (scheduled 6 mos previously!) would take place in the buildng and so they could not move the 1000 checkout (which is very early, in my view for a resort). Had I known, I would not have agreed to this room on the property, as I now have a 5 hour gap between hotels. Morever, the front desk person was not the least bit sympathetic, and when I explained that I had been subjected to noise (furniture dragged across floors, a persist droning sound) all through the marning (on a Sunday!) from the space above, she essentially said it wasn't them, wasn't really their problem and that I should have complained at the time (they had not received any complaints). 2) a small point, but the huge Grand Vista resort does not subscribe to Amazon, and so did not show the Bears v Packers wild card NFL game, which turned out to be epic. I had asked at the unhelpful front desk (they'd had multiple requests, 2 within the time I asked) and simply couldn't show it, well because... Based on these experiences, my guess is this resort while nice physically, does not really put a priority on vistor enjoyment. Rather, within certain bounds, things will be adequate, but there should be no. expectation of effort to enhance a visit, even in minor areas.
