Beautiful Property
Stunning property! Florida weather and foliage was a sight for sore eyes after this East Coast winter. Great stay for a multigenerational vacation

Disappointed
As a Bonvoy member, I’m disappointed. The main goal of this property is to sell timeshares. Since, I arrived late and will be leaving early, I missed this pressure sale. My biggest pet peeve is I had to pay $31.00 for parking - as a Bonvoy member. The reason this is problematic is they have plenty of parking here. The outside of my room had left over housekeeping items and was dirty. However, the room itself was very nice and clean - thank you. WiFi is weak and everything closed here at 9:00, so I had to leave the property to eat, which turned out okay. I guess as a member and having stayed at numerous properties, I expected better and received less.

Nice resort, Pool Chair Policy Ignored
I really like this resort overall, we have stayed here multiple times although not part of the Marriott vacation club. The room was a little musty smelling this time so I bought some room spray which helped but other than that the room was clean, well equipped and beds fairly comfortable. My biggest complaint, which I’ve noticed every time we stayed here, guests come down to the pool area at the crack of dawn and put their towels on the chairs then leave and don’t come back for hours. And although there is a notice posted that states the towels will be removed after 30 minutes if the chair is not occupied and they have someone going around tagging the chairs, unfortunately, they do not reinforce this policy. I observed multiple chairs being tagged and not removing the towels even after an hour and half! The guests that reserve their chairs show up whenever and just remove the tag, meanwhile guests that are there to use the pool and want a chair can't find one. If you're not there by 10 am it'll be hard to find two chairs together. Attached are a few pictures taken around 7:30 am that show chairs taken but nobody in them and there was no one swimming. This really should not be tolerated. Other than that annoyance, we enjoyed our stay.

Not for business travelers
As a Marriott Ambassador member, I have come to expect certain privileges when staying at a Marriott property. The Grande Vista did not meet my expectations, I checked in at 12:30am to be welcomed by a very unpleasant young lady named Daniella. She wasn’t rude, just not friendly at all. I told her I did not have a car and asked if there was someone that could take me to my room as they put me in the far back corner of the property and she sighed and said I guess I can take you. We got in the van and as she was backing up she hit one of the properties golf carts. Her response was “it is what it is”. Onto the room itself, the room was nice as it is a full apartment and my room backed up to the golf course which was nice. The WiFi in the room is horrendous, with 7 Mb download and 11 Upload speeds constant throughout my stay. My cellphone did not get reception at the back of the property. Getting any work done took a very long time. The morning of checkout they tried to charge me for parking which again when I checked in she was well aware I did not have a car. The property is nice, the front desk staff is unfriendly, the housekeeping staff gets dropped off at their buildings which blocks the way of Ubers trying to pick up, and the WiFi is pretty useless. This is not a property to stay when on business.

Like a construction site - avoid if you want to relax or rest
It was like a construction site, we couldn’t park near our room to unload as a cherry picker blocked access to the lot - a construction worker with roofer on their shirt was roaming the corridors with a petrol leaf blower that we had to protect our ears from the deafening noise. We thought, OK maybe this is some last minute Friday work that couldn’t be avoided. Then at 7:40am on Saturday we were woken with the same noise outside the balcony which then continued throughout the morning with a golf cart loaded with a deafening compressor running constantly at the back of our block 83. Clearly properties need to be maintained, but the lack of consideration to guests who are here for peaceful relaxation appears non-existent. We call to complain, but all we could get was an automated “Eva” phone bot. If you want to relax and rest, don’t come here.
