Perfect place to have some R&R
Actually I am getting ready to go to Puerto Vallarta in a few days but we go every year and we always stay at the Marriott. The location is great because it's not in the Hotel Zone (which has SO MANY hotels... and people) and it's relatively close to the airport (but not close enough to be worrysome) which makes it easy to get there. The staff members are so sweet and helpful. The rooms are always spotless and their restaurants are among the best in the area. We always have an amazing time and we love this place so much. It has become an annual tradition!

Viva Mexico!
We have visited this resort for many years. The upgrades to the pool and restaurants are impressive and they are not done. We loved the adult pool and were spoiled by Saul everyday. He made sure our drinks were never empty and helped us decide on food and snacks all day long. We look forward to seeing him and his great personality next year. Andrea handled the busy breakfast buffet like the professional she is, making eggs to order and smiling the entire time. We love being able to walk to the marina or stay at the resort for dinner. Bring a refillable water bottle as they have added filtered water stations. A couple hiccups with the elevators but the staff handled it so well. Would love a pillow menu option for the rooms. Looking forward to seeing the additional upgrades next year.

Lovely, just BRING BACK OLD LOBBY BAR MENU
TLDR: LOVELY hotel and people, bring the OLD LOBBY FOOD BACK AND DELI BACK. I’ve been coming here for 12 years, and have seen the hotel go through changes like any place would. They recently renovated the pool area which is lovely, but the lobby bar is really SUFFERING with the new restaurant Marieta. No one likes the food or frequents there anymore. The staff who works the lobby bar is suffering because no one wants to eat there. (Menu attached) Bring back the ceviche, the mini burgers, the wings to the lobby bar. No one wants croquetas, tuna salad, or that type of food. Also, please bring back the paninis and pizza at the deli. DO NOT make this an all inclusive quality will go down so much. Also please don’t get rid of or change Las Casitas. Everything else was FANTASTIC, but PLEASE bring back the old menu to the lobby bar. I hope others speak up with reviews as that’s the only thing that’ll help change. I know others feel very similarly to me!

Charged twice for stay with no resolve.
Have called the hotel 6x now with no one available to take my call and the front desk unable to help me. Charged twice for my stay, stuck in an elevator for 20mins, sick for 48hrs from the food at Nosh (or from the ice in the drinks), dried throw up on my bedroom floor, had to climb 7 flights with luggage, their payment systems had us waiting 10mins at a time for every transaction. Extremely unhappy with this whole situation and trying to get someone on the phone has been a nightmare- even customer support is not helping.

Fitness Center and overall experience
Some fitness center reviews inaccurately describe a decent center. Have been going to this hotel every year for over 20 years. Have booked another stay in Jan and Feb 25-26. But unless they upgraded the equipment from last year the equipment is in poor shape. Serious disrepair. However gym attendant Gonzalo is the saving grace for a lackluster workout center. Have complained for years but they ignore complaints. Some reviews criticize the front desk workers with justification. For some reason they are not helpful and somewhat grouchy. And you need to check your bill daily. They have a borderline incomprehensible billing system that takes them forever to explain. Also beach chairs are not comfortable.Umbrellas frequently broken. Last years chairs shorter than prior years. Go figure! However overall we love the place We suspect the disrepair was in anticipation of going all inclusive. Our fantasy is they would upgrade the hotel to attract inclusive guests. Hope springs eternal. We go into town every night so all inclusive not for us but it could negatively affect patrons who are not all inclusive. Hotel food is excellent and most employees are super nice and helpful. Management however not so attentive. They have an agenda and it is hard to figure out what it is or who to complain to. I’m only writing this review because they let the gym deteriorate and that’s a problem for us. Somewhat nervous about this years trip because of all inclusive rumors and its impact on overall experience. These are my opinions only. Some may disagree.
