Great Getaway to a Property Really Needing Your Business
We were more than satisfied with our 1 week stay (March 14-21). The one day cartel activity 3+ weeks ago really had an negative impact on tourism everywhere; the hotel and surrounding restaurants at the nearby Marina were significantly below capacity which was very unfortunate for all the businesses. We felt totally safe on the property as well as our daily trips to the Marina and a trip downtown to the Malecon. The breakfast buffet (which was included in our package) was outstanding- although a bit pricey if you had to pay separately; we had fabulous service from all the wait and cooking staff who went way out of their way to provide excellent service at all times. The rooms were very spacious and appeared updated recently. The room AC worked wonderfully. The in room coffee maker did not too well but the coffee shop in the lobby was very efficient with a variety of food and drink options. Our daily maid service from Claudia (room 5016) was outstanding. Although the garden room we stayed in was located at the end of the floor somewhat overlooking the front of the building, we could see the grounds, pool area and sea as seen with the picture below. The adult pool area was never really crowded- although the water was quite warm unlike the larger pool. Even though spring break time, there were very few kids throughout the property. The music piped in throughout the pool areas was not too loud and the variety of music played was perfect (for us :) ) The wait staff were very friendly and hustling with their food and beverage service.

A Fantastic Stay… Just Keep the Front Desk Away From the Coffee Shop
There are three main Marriott-branded properties in Puerto Vallarta, and after visiting a couple of them during my trip, I’m very glad I chose this one. For context, the Sheraton nearby is a franchised property, and unfortunately, it shows. I had to call them regarding a booking issue and the experience was… let’s just say “memorable for the wrong reasons.” I also stopped by the Westin for lunch during my visit, and it is absolutely beautiful and very classy. But I stayed at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta, and I’m happy to report it was an excellent choice. This hotel has a great energy. There always seems to be something happening, yet it never feels chaotic. The service throughout most of the property was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The food was also surprisingly good and exceeded my expectations. One unexpected highlight of my stay was the coffee shop. It’s gorgeous and honestly feels like something you’d find at a JW Marriott rather than a standard Marriott property. The pastries are large, beautifully made, and clearly high quality. I grabbed a freshly squeezed orange juice from the cooler, which was absolutely delicious. Everything about the coffee shop feels premium, and stopping in there for coffee or a pastry quickly became my favorite part of the day. The rooms have been renovated and feel fresh and modern. Bright colors pop against clean white walls, the signature Marriott bedding is as comfortable as ever, and there are outlets everywhere. Lots of lighting, great functionality, and everything feels crisp and thoughtfully designed. The details also stood out. Plenty of fluffy towels that actually felt new, good amenities, and small touches like having separate soaps for the shower and the sink. Those little details matter, and this property clearly pays attention to them. The beach, the grounds, the pool areas… everything is beautiful and well-kept. Overall, the property delivered exactly what I hoped for and then some. Chill, fun and sun. My one “opportunity area” would be the front desk. The staff was all polite and pleasant, but the service there felt noticeably less polished than the rest of the hotel. It didn’t come across as rude, more like a lack of training in hospitality basics. Which is a shame, because everything else about the property operates at a five-star level. But the front desk felt like Fairfield Inn. Still, this was a fantastic stay. I will absolutely return, and I would happily recommend this hotel to friends, family, and even my clients. The food, OMG, is delicious. The location is excellent, right across from the Marina and very close to the airport, the property is renovated and fresh, and the overall vibe is lively, energetic, and welcoming. And if you go, do yourself a favor and don’t skip the coffee shop. It may quietly become the best part of your day. I guarantee it!!!

Perfect get away in amazing location inside puerto Vallarta
We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Marriott in Puerto Vallarta. Not only were the staff amazing, but the rooms were clean and kept in great condition the views are beautiful. beach and pool set up is great as well. On top of that, every bite of food we had at the resort from dinner to breakfast to lunchtime snacks were amazing. Could not recommend this hotel more. We will definitely be coming back in the future

Nice place but they should not allow people to take 15 towels to hog pool chairs
Lovely serene hotel but there are a few drawbacks My biggest beef is that I watched from my balcony at 7:30 am individual people had like 15 towels and proceeded to place towels on pool chairs When we went down at like 9:30 so many of the chairs were taken with nobody using them For hours on end… There is a small placard on the back of the chairs in small print saying that if the chair is unused for a certain amount of hours your stuff will be put at the security desk It made lounging by the pool frustrating as these selfish people just wanted their pool chair monopolized for hours unused Otherwise this hotel is very cute Beds are comfortable , rooms are nice and the restaurants are good ( except for Champions where the food was kind of gross)
