The hotel needs major renovations but it's a good thing they have great staff!
I was very disappointed with the hotel. This property needs major renovations, everything is very old, the furniture, the kitchen items, etc. You can only see 75% of the TV screen and the pictures were not clear on every channels. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and there was always water on the floor as a result of it. The towels were old and dingy. The shower pressure was extremely low. Again, the hotel needs a complete renovations. However, the staffs were amazing, they were very responsive and prompt when asked for anything, they provided great customer service. Because of the staff, I gave them an extra star but it's really a one star hotel.

As a solo traveler, this is perfect for me.
I'm giving Marriott Executive Apartments in Panama City a 5. I was a solo traveler. I felt safe at all times. I loved my apartment. It was roomier and very nice. The gym was very nice and clean. The pool was nice and warm. The coffee bar on the lobby was nice. Check in was a breeze. They spoke English as I spoke no Spanish. They have happy hour Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday. The menu in the restaurant was limited, but suffice. There are restaurants in walking distance or a Uber away. It's a 13 minute walk to 50th street, where the mall, A Bently car dealership, restaurants and banks are located. I will stay here again when visiting PC. It's quite and peaceful.

Make Sure You have All Your Belongings
This review is more of an exception to how good the hotel is. On 25 Jul 24, I had to stay overnight, due to bad weather and traffic. It was a last minute booking and I had no baggage with me. Normally, this is my go to hotel when staying in Panama City, Panama. This trip was a little different. Getting to the point. Make sure you have all your belongings before checking out. I left a blue leather bracelet I had purchased from Greece, just a month earlier. On, the morning of 26 Jul 24, I took the bracelet off to take a shower and placed it on the bathroom sink next to the wall. I was in such a hurry to get to the airport that morning I forgot I had taken the bracelet off. The very next morning, 27 Jul 24, I informed the front desk that I had forgotten my bracelet and told them exactly where I left it. They checked with housekeeping a number of times over a two week period and were told by housekeeping they did not find it. Now I know, that unless maintenance or someone else went into that room after I checked out early on the 26th that housekeeping found the bracelet and decided to keep it. I am not implying anything I am stating for a fact that someone decided to keep my bracelet instead of turn it in. No it wasn't an expensive piece, but it was something I cherished from my trip to Greece. Just make sure you have all your belongings, because not everyone in all situations is honest.

Dependable but not fancy
A quiet, clean, and safe hotel. The pool is really nice. Breakfast is adequate, and dinner if you need it is just OK. Our rooms (we stayed twice) were huge and comfortable. Just a little dark and dated. My only negative comment is the location. It is not in walking distance to anything touristy. But Uber was inexpensive and easily available. Staff were polite but distant.

Stay Elsewhere
I booked a family room for me and my sister. Aircon was either too cold or too hot. All attention seemed to be focused on the master bedroom with bath robe, slippers, safe, toiletries. The 2nd bedroom had 2 small beds and a mirror with hardly any room to move. It was dark, and not all the spotlights worked. The TVs had to be switched to English but kept jumping back to spanish. Whenever reception was called, they failed to deliver or I had to go downstairs in order to pick up items missing from the 2nd bedroom. The housekeeping was below standard, and they never replaced towels and bathrobes or dusted or swept the rooms. The staff are polite but can't seem to make a decision without referring to Daniel, which caused delays. You can order food online, but the food on the menu isn't what you actually receive. The gym officially opened at 7am but was unlocked at 5am. Using the gym before 7am meant walking through a dark room and pool area before you arrive at the gym where the air con didn't kick in until after 6am. If there is another hotel with an apartment layout, stay there instead.
