Terrible Experience
This was probably one of the worst, if not the worst stays, at a Marriott property. My check-in involved a front desk clerk who didn't say a word for 10-15 minutes before upgrading me to a Presidential suite for me and my family - the suite didn't actually have a normal bed in it! Just a rollaway and a pull-out. When we finally got to a regular room, the beds were soft and terrible. None of us had a good nights sleep. I had asked the front desk after night 1 to see if they could do anything about it, and after agreeing, no changes were made to my room until I asked again at close to 10pm that night. Tired hotel, rooms/beds not great, and service sub-par. Would never stay here again.

Terrible Customer service from front desk staff
Had to stay in this hotel because of a conference and while the location is nice, the person at the front desk, Martha, is rude and incompetent. I understand that rooms may not be available for early check in (though a friend who checked in after me got a room) but at least be polite about it. Martha not only looked like she was annoyed every time she spoke to me but she was curt, dismissive and condescending. Save your money and stay elsewhere if you can because customer service is lacking in this hotel. So sad that that hospitality doesn’t exist at this property.

Excellent Marina Del Rey Hotel
Marina Del Rey Marriott is an outstanding hotel, in an outstanding location! It's just far enough off the beaten path, yet close enough to easily get around the local area. The open foyer has a lot to offer (check in desk, ATM, bar, breakfast, seating, AED machines, etc). This is a very busy hotel, so the check in desk with an open area is necessary! There is a bar and dining area across from the check in desk for guests who arrive hungry or just need a drink to relax. They do have a Marriott Club for qualifying members, and it is nice with lots of food and drinks to offer. The rooms are spacious and clean. The room views can be hot or miss. If you do value the view, be sure to ask for a room viewing the Marina. The doors are secure with a deadbolt and additional door blocker. There is a refrigerator and the standard amenities. It's nice that most hotels are including shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. Marriott is included in making this available for guests. For those who may need a freezer, this Marriott has a freezer available for guests, and they will even give you a ticket to reference when it is time to retrieve your items. There is also a gym with nice aerobic equipment! When it was time to visit the front desk just before leaving, I was fortunate enough to meet Gilbert Merino. Gilbert is a front office manager, and he is a wealth of information on the Marriott brand, and what they have to offer! We discussed the local weather pattern, attractions, and the cool things that Marriott has to offer their tiered members! Gilbert is very well versed in the hotel business, and is a Marriott expert, so if you have any issues, he would be an outstanding contact! Overall, I'd highly recommend the Marriott Marina Del Rey to all of my traveling friends. Be sure to stop by and say hi to Gilbert if you need anything!

Excellent option in the Los Angeles area
My go-to when staying in Los Angeles! The front desk was excellent, recognized my Titanium Elite Status upon check in and provided a room upgrade to a junior suite, which is always appreciated and something I look forward to. The room was VERY spacious. The king bed was very comfortable and in a different room. This hotel has a concierge lounge, which is I love. It's a great place to grab a snack. Location is walkable to Venice Beach, not extremely close, but I enjoy it especially in the SoCal weather.

Stolen bag and disgusting food
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! I had my Chanel bag stolen from the room while I wasn’t there. The hotel manager confirmed there was video footage of me leaving and returning with the bag; and filed a claim with corporate. Bon Voy rejected the claim
