Great Hotel
Great Hotel in good location for Marina, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Lovely comfy beds and good size tv with free movies on an app. Room cleaned every day. Nice to have a coffee K machine with coffee filled up each day. Staff so friendly and helpful. Anabel at reception went above and beyond. The M club is great again good staff and nice good and drinks. Stayed for 8 nights room 712.

Never Again
We arrived at the hotel at 7pm and our room (a room with two double beds for 4 people) wasn't ready. No, no, I'm not kidding, at 7pm we were told that the room wasn't ready. I insisted several times on getting a room, saying that we were very tired after our international flight, and that we needed to be able to shower and change as we had a dinner planned for 8.00 pm. But nothing could be done except to offer us a room with a king-size bed. I still don't understand why the manager thought we could sleep four in one bed, no alternative was offered. The only sentence we were told over and over again was that the room wasn't ready and that they were fully booked. We finally got the room at 8pm. No apology was made, no commercial gesture, not even any help in changing the time of the reservation for our restaurant, in short lamentable. When we finally got the room it was fine. The rooms have been renovated and are therefore clean, which is not the case for the common areas.. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the price, you can certainly find much better.

Terrible!! The most humiliating experience ever!!
The most humiliating experience I have ever had in my entire life. My wife and I were treated like criminals. Why? Because our credit card, left as a guarantee for the extras, did not work. It is important to highlight that ALL ACCOMMODATION EXPENSES AND FEES WERE PAID IN ADVANCE, before our arrival. After returning from the gym and after 2 frustrated trips back and forth to front desk to revalidate the room card, which did not work, we were informed that we were prevented from entering our room until a new credit card was offered to guarantee the extras. At that moment we were held against our will outside of the room, with our two children sleeping in the room. Despite numerous appeals and attempts to make the staff aware that our children were alone, that we had to go into the room to get a new card, that our car was in the possession of the hotel's valet and that we did not understand why we were going through that, nothing sensitized them. We were escorted by 3 security guards to the room so we could get the card and pay our extras before we could head back to our vacation. Endless humiliation. Again: all daily rates and fees were fully paid. In the end, a lot of humiliation and discrimination for being Brazilians and mostly for $200. Also important to highlight that we’re loyal members of the Marriot Bonvoy. We have recorded everything and the videos/pictures are available in case anyone from Marriot Hotels Management is interested in watching the inadequate behavior of the manager and the staff of the hotel and how clients are treated in this hotel.

Good location, nice rooms, amazing service
I don't want to bury the lede so here it is - this Marriott has the best service we've experienced in a "Marriott" (ie not a JW) in the US. EVERYONE from the front desk, to the valets, to the maids, to the servers and bartenders were friendly, efficient, and well trained - even a server in the lounge thanked me for my loyalty! The location is quite good - across the street from the Marina and Mother's Beach and a short walk from the Venice Beach Pier. Unfortunately, it was unseasonably cold during our stay so we didn't get to enjoy them as much as we expected...but such is life. The same goes for the outdoor pool and hot tub - WAY too cold for the pool and even the hot tub was only so effective against the chilly wind. That said, the pool was smaller and the hot tub larger than one might expect. The rooms were recently renovated but were unfortunately shower only. We knew this going into it so can't complain...but the forbidding winds made us regret the lack of tub more than we expected. The other oddity of the renovation is that (at least in our room) the AC was positioned to blow directly onto the head of the bed - a design that should definitely be avoided. But these are nits...the bed was comfortable and the room quite pleasant to be in with refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, chair, and lounge. The M Club was wonderful with a good breakfast in the morning, snacks in the evening, and an espresso machine and cold drinks throughout the day. The Sinder Lounge was also quite nice and we enjoyed a few drinks and snacks/meals during our stay. All in all we would absolutely return.

OK hotel but would not return
Just spent 3 nights here for an event. The rooms were renovated last year but they don’t feel that way as there is limited storage (tiny closet area, small drawers in room, little cubbies in bathroom under sink with half of them containing towels). Most rooms have sliding doors that open but curtains were attached in a way that you can’t get to the door easily. However, the A/C was fantastic and beds were very comfortable. They have also renovated the gym with brand new equipment and 2 peloton where you can fill bottles with sparkling/still water. Valet parking is $49 but there is a lot across the street where you can park for $10 on summer weekdays and $15 on weekends for 24 hours. The valet guys mention it as well when you pull in. The lobby area is a little dark and the hallways are curved which makes them feel a little creepy. The pool is at the front of the hotel and was very windy when we were there.
