Dec 10, 2025They are not a boutique hotel it is an old building with rooms
Location was nice you have a lot of nice good places around. Unfortunately the building is old and has some structural problems. You will not sleep well there is a lot of noise inside the building and on the street. It seems that you will get a better value if you stay around this area in a different hotel.

Should have switched hotels- it’s a scam.
Summary: everything was weirdly off but it met our needs, until we tried to check out and lost our deposit for the malfunctioning sauna. We checked in, got the wrong room- had paid for Sauna room. They happily moved us after a few hours, presumably to make the sauna room habitable. Cons: -Loud, messy, dusty construction on all floors the entire time. -The shower would not drain well so 5min max until flooding -After 10 seconds of hot water usage, loud plumbing “knocking” that sounded like the wall was going to explode -Mold under the sink -The sauna that started smoking while in use and then accused of breaking and lost $100 of our deposit (it’s a scam) -Service: the receptionist that told us we broke the sauna was a real you know what Pros: -Location was great -Chef and breakfast on roof were amazing each morning Wish after all the bathroom malfunctioning we had just switched to a hotel chain. Wanted to love the boutique experience but the trouble was not worth it.

This Boutique hotel was absolutely beautiful. I love that it was walking distance to many different food options and a very cute cafe right across the street. The room was spacious for me and my mom and the bathroom was also nice and big. Breakfast was included in my reservation I thought it would be similar to like a holiday in express but it was so much more. Pedro was such joy to be around. He made me an omelette everyday we went to the rooftop, which is super cute, He also always offered to make me something else a fruit salad or a special juice. He was extremely attentive and funny. The front desk staff were always very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend staying at Maria Condesa. I also recommend you book your airport transfer with the hotel and even book your tours with the same cab company. I used Ulysses as a driver and he took us to see the pyramids ...private tour for a reasonable price.

We booked a room with a sauna that didn’t work. We were told they attempted to fix it, but needed to replace a piece inside the machinery. They were not able to fix the issue during our stay, and when asked about refunding the amount we paid specifically for the sauna - the client services desk became incredibly sketchy. They ended up charging me twice for the stay, and would not answer calls and texts about a refund.

Apr 06, 2025I really wanted to like this place but ...
Let me start by saying that the entrance to the hotel is not well marked so we weren't exactly sure if we had arrived at the right place. In fact, the taxi driver got out of the car to verify with the woman at the front desk before removing our luggage from the trunk. The location of the hotel is on a street of apartment buildings and restaurants. In fact, we had plenty of dining options within a short walk of the hotel. Due to the hotel's dining area being renovated, breakfast was supposed to be delivered to our rooms, but we opted to go out for breakfast instead as Mexico City seems to be a breakfast town. As for the hotel itself, it's a bit shabby in that the rooms have seen better days. And I don't know why hotel room designers do this but the bathroom had a very shallow sink with a full-size faucet so that anytime you used the sink, you would end up flooding the countertop due to the water splashing out of the shallow sink. Also, the pressure in the shower was not that great because the showerhead needs to be either replaced or scrubbed clean. It felt like only 10 of the showerhead holes had water coming out of them. The towels were frayed and dingy and need to be replaced, however, with that said, they provided washcloths. The other thing that bugged me was that the TV remote was missing. I asked at the front desk for help with this but was told that I would have to turn the TV off and on manually by hitting the power button on the TV. My friend stayed in another room and her remote control's batteries needed to be replaced and another friend in another room said that the deadbolt on her door wasn't functioning. There's no attention to details at this place which is why I won't stay here on my next visit.
