  Very nice resort!

  Super nice place! Great access to the beach and a great place to go swimming or playing in the waves. Walking distance to the marina and some shopping/restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Did lose some towels that the staff should have picked up and put in lost and found, but that was our bad for leaving them out. Food options are good, make sure you get a reservation to the pizza/Italian themed restaurant. Drinks were super tasty and very fresh fruit/ingredients used.

  Incredible staying at margarita we meet Minor González of MAjor Tours Costa Rica he is a hero

  We would like to recommend this resort for family groups . The beach was beautyful But we came on not a good season for swiming the ocean was really grumpy We lo ed our room wich gave US a wonderful Ocean view . Very friendly staff , and largee pool We did our tours with Minor González first we went to the rain forest for a real amazing day to see the wild life such toucans sloths amphibians mokeys and repatails Hes knowledge of Nature flora and fauna its one of a kind We also did and adventire day to the dry forest in rincón de la vieja volcano What really it was amazing of him has been seen this guy on our last day saving two persons from.the Ocean they where traped into a very Bad rip tide asking for Help 'no one on the beach had and idea what to except calling 911 but looked that those person where going to die Minor jumped to the Ocean making signals to them for swiming not against the corrent . The girl followed succesfuly his instrutions and got out by herselves while Minor went directly to the man wich was in panic every one on the beach celebrated when Minor got him with the life saber ring Oh My got i never Saw a rescue before Minor fougth for about 40 minutes with the Ocean until brougth gim back No doubt He is a genuine Tour Guide A Brave man You can contact Him on WhatsApp 506 6091 1417 On Google Major tours Costa Rica Dont waste the chance to have a great experience

  Don't Book the Honeymoon Suite

  Came here as our last of three stops in Costa Rica for our honeymoon. After being at two other hotels which were absolutely out of this world, this place just isn't in the same league. We actually upgraded in advance and paid extra to have the honeymoon suite thinking that it would be an amazing, relaxing last leg of the journey. We'll start with the positive. The location is awesome - right on the beach, easy to find a spot with a clear view of the stunning ocean, and manageable waves for those looking to swim, body surf and boogie board rather than surf. The pool with swim-up pool bar is nice and well kept. The drinks were also very good, and the bartenders at both the pool bar and the upstairs bar were attentive and personable. That's pretty much where the positives end. You'd think paying extra to be in the honeymoon suite, we would have had a nice view, but the room is essentially in the basement (a half level down from the ground). It has a little patio area, but you are staring at a concrete wall and the bases of some palm trees. People walking back to their rooms can easily see onto the patio. We also had to call the front desk to get robes and soap for the bathroom. The staff didn't seem that apologetic about these not already being in the room. There was also one day where we came back to the room around 5pm, the room had not been serviced, despite us being out of the room for pretty much the whole day and the do not disturb sign not being on the door. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, they made it seem like an imposition because it was past the time when the cleaning staff usually finish! The pool, as I said, was nice, but as other reviews have mentioned, many people come out early, reserve a bunch of chairs and then aren't even there, so it was often difficult to find a spot to sit, especially if you want any shade. Finally, we are foodies and when we travel to a new place, we want to eat the local cuisine. While this place has a specialty pizza restaurant that was pretty good and there were bar-type foods that were probably great for people who are not interested in local food, the Costa Rican fare here is not great. The rice in the gallo pinto was often very dry, the avocado seemed like it was purchased pre-cut and there were never plantains. We had an all-inclusive package but opted to eat elsewhere several times and always found higher-caliber food. This seemed like a great place for families with kids, wanting to relax, have a drink and watch the kids play in the pool, while not minding eating the same stuff as at home. For us, it was not the best.
