    Bad housekeeping

Bad housekeeping, multiple reminders and visits to front desk needed for basic requirements. The staff is nonchalant and had to oester multiple times

    Lakeisha Saves the Day

We had a rough morning, I was hung over, the breakfast restaurant vacation cafe took over an hour to bring coffee and food…….my wife and young sun and I, went outside the Beach to get some sun and all the loungers were taken. I was ready to make a complaint…….then out of nowhere this woman Lakeisha came up to us, she saw we were struggling to find a seat. She greeted us with a smile and beautiful energy, she immediately got us a reserved cushioned Lounger, ice cold drinks, she took pictures of our family and basically anything we needed all afternoon. She took a rough morning and made it a social day, she deserves an award. She delivered a master class of customer service and care and this review is the least I can do to recognize her for saving the day on one of our 15 days staying at the resort.

    Decent resort

This was a nice resort, very family friendly. It isn’t all inclusive and there are lots of kids there. It’s close to the cruise port but that was a plus for me because we could walk to the shops. It’s walking distance to the fish fry but there are a lot of stray dogs. We enjoyed the infinity pool on the roof. It provided an amazing view but the water was COLD. Get to the beach early for a spot because cruisers get days passes and it can get crowded.

Underwhelming :( Honest Xmas Week Review

I'm currently here and it's been pretty underwhelming. Obviously we know it's Xmas week and lowered our expectations. When we arrived, they were cleaning the floor right in front of the main doors (like with water and a shop vac) and I could barely hear the check-in lady over the massive noise. No one even acknowledged the noise. The lady told us there were no food options when we arrived at 10:30pm, however we discovered at 11:15pm that there had been in-room dining that ended at 11pm :( We tried going to the pizza place here (Lola & Frankie's) and they told us it would be just a few minutes until they could clear a table and seat us (1/3 of the tables were empty with dirty dishes). After 30 minutes of either being ignored or told "just a few minutes" we had to walk out. We were told the kitchen was also backed up and it would be at least an hour before food would come out. We also tried going to breakfast at the Vacation Club at 10am on Xmas Day because the signs said breakfast was until 11am. They told us they stopped seating people because they were going to have a buffet lunch that started at 11am. When I asked if there were other breakfast options the hostess said we'd have to go into town :( It ended up that the bakery here had breakfast options (we figured that out after going into town). The bakery is meh for coffee (it's gritty) and the items in the display window just look sad. Our room is huge which is awesome but the whole place (including the sheets) smells like mildew. We have to have both sliding doors open when we're in the room to try to air it out. In our tower, the elevator didn't work for almost 24 hours. For the first afternoon/evening no one did anything about the non-working elevator. Staff didn't really care when we reported it and didn't seem to do anything. It was an issue because people were all over the area waiting for the second elevator but it couldn't come down to the main floor until someone sent the non-working elevator somewhere which would allow the second one to be called. The next morning they at least put a sign out and turned it off or something. We entered our room yesterday and it seems like the cleaner didn't close our freezer properly so it was beeping. Good thing we didn't have stuff in there. But the fridge door also doesn't close all the way, which is weird. The resort also looks a LOT bigger in photos. The pool area is pretty small and mostly in the shade (maybe just in winter?) And the waterpark section is almost fully in the shade. The good news is that the resort felt pretty vacant for the first few days. We didn't realize that our oceanfront view would be mainly of 5-6 cruise ships every day. Nothing about this resort is what it seemed when we booked it. It's just a LOT of annoying moments that keep adding up. We've stayed at resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico and all over the world and this has been SUCH a disappointing experience.

    Rested away again in Margaritaville

Lakeisha was incredible - took great care of my family. Greeted us as we arrived, found us a prime spot on the beach and made sure we never wanted for anything
