Dec 12, 2025Wonderful Wedding Venue
We had our wedding here just last week and Mar del Cabo is nothing short of incredible. It was a great spot for an intimate wedding and wonderful to have all of our guests in one place. You really can’t beat the romantic feel, beautiful bougainvillea and talavera tile throughout as well as the close proximity to the beach that felt so private. We came during peak whale season and saw a ton of whale activity from the resort! The staff was fully attentive, extremely sweet and very accommodating. Special kudos for Roxana and Kenny for making it a wonderful time and helped with whatever we needed. The food was also incredible and constantly complimented by all of our guests which was really important to us. It unfortunately rained a ton on our wedding day and the staff did everything they could to clean up the walkways and make sure it was safe for our guests. There were a few flooding issues our guests experienced but I do think that amount of rain was unprecedented and they did everything they could to help as quickly as possible. We also had some issues with hot water to our room but maintenance was quick to try and fix the problem. Overall, I wouldn’t have wanted my wedding anywhere else. 10/10 and I would recommend Mar del Cabo to anyone.

Vacation
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort. The staff was amazing and very nice. The restaurant has beautiful views, awesome food and wonderful staff. We would definitely go go back and stay at any of the VELAS resorts.

A dream come true!!
My experience at Mar del Cabo was truly lovely and magical. My best friend and I pretty much had the entire place to ourselves and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. It was the relaxing retreat we needed and we didn't want for anything. A special shout out to Eufracia who had the most positive energy at breakfast each morn, Miguel who lead us through an amazing impromptu tequila tasting, and Sergio who was the friendliest and most attentive waiter. Deanna (sp?) was a great host and set a great energy from the moment we arrived. I'm already planning my birthday trip back! Thank you Mar del Cabo :)

Romantic Los Cabos Getaway
My fiancé and I had been here in 2024 and this is the only place we’ve visited twice. We wanted to come back because we knew we needed a cozy place to recharge where we could just hang out at the pool with some peace, and some excellent service. We really get along with the staff here, and they go above and beyond to help accommodate your plans or whatever you need to make your time special. I would like to personally thank Omar, Sebastian, and Ufracia for their wonderful company and charm. It was lovely to see them again and we were so touched by how they remembered so much about us. They truly care about their job and they bring such a bright energy to the resort. I also wanted to thank the concierge staff who helped me plan an on-site, romantic morning of star gazing. The resort is so well cared for and is such a lovely place to hang out for days, the greenery and flowers are so comforting and cooling, the rooms are so well cared for, and the architecture is such a careful organization that treats the guests to convenience and bliss. I have to mention the kitchen staff, who have created a menu that has a little bit for everyone. They’re so accommodating and the ingredients they use are of high quality. Their cocktails are amazing, and you will definitely enjoy their margarita selection with some guac and chips by the pool (it comes with a chicharon!). My fiancé and I talked about how great it would be to plan our wedding here; due to family members availability we have to plan it in Ireland, but we are fierce tempted to drug my mum-in-law to get her on the plane over there. If you are planning a small to medium, resort style wedding, definitely contact them with your questions. You would probably have the best wedding of your social sphere. This is an old hotel that was taken over by the VELAS group. It’s between the Grand VELAS and the VELAS Boutique. It’s been cheaply renovated by VELAS, think Day’s Inn for furnishings. And as in previous reviews, there are LOt’S of stairs down to the beach and the one restaurant especially if you have a high room as we did. The outside of the property needs work. Paint, power washing etc. it is on the beach and the pool area is quite nice. We had the place to ourselves for a couple of days and as a result they have reduced staff. Everyone is very nice as in most resorts in the Cabo area but? We were taken to our room promptly with no explanation as to the room amenities etc. I had to call on night 2 because they advise turn down service but no one came. It’s a bit if a haul into CSJ and the Ubers charge extra on weekends. 20% off on dinners at the VELAS restaurants next door but they are all inclusive so you never know what you are paying. The restaurant has a really limited dinner menu….they want you to head next door. Our room had an ok view overlooking the ocean, but a decrepit lot with an abandoned house and ragged palm trees. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean, maid service was prompt and efficient. The breakfast was generous as well. I predict the VELAS group will buy the lot next door knock it all down and build another all inclusive property to add to the VELAS Group. Overall, way
