9 Doors Japanese restaurant is located on the ground floor of the lobby and is divided into the sushi bar and Teppanyaki area. In the Sushi Bar you will find an excellent and elaborate selection of sushi and 8 Teppanyakis, with capacity for 10 people and six sittings per day, you can have a real experience of show cooking whilst enjoying Japanese cuisine.
Table Reservation are required for teppanyaki. No reservation required for the Sushi Bar.

In a typically Italian atmosphere, the restaurant Il Botaccio offers a dinner service with the best and most representative dishes of Italian cuisine. In addition, during the morning and midday, Il Botaccio opens its doors to Elegance Club customers to serve breakfast and for an a la carte lunch. Restaurant will remain open for breakfast and lunch, exclusively for guests staying at the Elegance Club (Adults only 18+ section).

Dec 25, 2025Relaxing, fun, sunny vacation
Visited over Christmas vacation. Resort is very beautiful. The pools are very clean and attended to very closely. I wish the rooms were more separated to have some privacy, since finding a family sweet at Magestic Elegance is difficult. Service varied. Some restaurants had very friendly staff whereas others looked downright miserable being there. I came with my husband and two younger kids, 4 and 6. They enjoyed the pool and kids splash area, though one of the 3 water slides was not working the entire 8 days that we were there. Other slight downside was that I was maybe under the impression that kids could be dropped off for activities or that they would be lengthier. The staff was kind and all of the activities were scheduled for 30 mins but didn’t always start on time and some were organized and some seemed to be slapped together. Also wasn’t quite sure where the activities would be held. Kids still had a great time. Food was ok and as expected for an all inclusive. Only 2 places are open for breakfast and lunch if you don’t have the upgrade. That was a little disappointing since the food for breakfast and oftentimes lunch were the same. Also was impossible to get a reservation at the French restaurant though we also would’ve had problems since it is an adults only restaurant. The Tepanyakki experience was fun for all and chef was great! Sushi was decent as was the food at the other restaurants. Again better than I think you would find at a lot of other resorts, just limited in timing and places. Location can’t be beat! The ocean is gorgeous here! The sand is super soft and inviting and clean. Noise level I believe is a little variable depending where you are but honestly couldn’t hear neighbors at all just some outside noise on occasion from activities etc, but nothing crazy. Rooms can be warmer at night, so would absolutely recommend setting the thermostat like way down to like 65. The gym facilities are in much need of an update. Seems like an afterthought and enough equipment to use, but just beaten down and older. DO NOT ask about going into town for a shopping experience!!! They send you into a tourist trap. Essentially a small shop where they ask for your hotel information and room number and sell almost everything the resort has. It was soooo disappointing! Take a cab or walk outside resort if need be. Excursions are great and worth looking into. Added touch during Christmas was that Santa visited and dropped off presents to each kid at the hotel!!! It was so sweet and unexpected.

For the most part, one of the better resorts we’ve been to as far as room quality, cleanliness, environment and low crowds. HOWEVER, some disappointing aspects…they really need to implement smoking areas. Other resorts we’ve been to in the Dominican had specified smoking zones, this one does not. Food is midrange. Surprisingly, there were not long lines before the restaurants open but you do want to be there right about that time. The Italian restaurant is better than most, and the buffet is decent. Japanese was all right. The steakhouse and seafood restaurants were subpar. And we could not get into the French restaurant because it was booked solid before we even arrived. The resort’s special Christmas Eve dinner (served in most of the restaurants) was awful. We had two rooms, one of them lost power repeatedly throughout our stay, usually when it was time to get ready for dinner. The staff working the towel stations need better training. When you turn in dirty towels, you have to haggle with them to get your towel card back. Are they trying to charge you for losing it? The pool is great. We were shocked to find that there were not tons of people at the pool at the crack of dawn hogging all of the beach chairs. The beach is beautiful but lots of seaweed (at least while we were there). The vendors on the beach make it impossible to relax and enjoy it. Several of them walk around whistling loudly to get your attention. Honestly, could not go five minutes without someone trying to sell us something.

Guzman our butler was wonderful, attentive and super helpful with any questions we had during our stay. He was always available via whatsapp and made sure we had information on dining and activities! Beautiful resort with nice entertainment after dinner and great amenities like the gym and pool. The beach is wonderful, large and clean with plenty activities during the day. Would definitely recommend staying here with family💙

Overall all great trip! Too many positives to complain.
My husband and I just got home. The weather was perfect. Room and grounds exceptionally well taken care of. Always pool chairs or cabanas available. Steakhouse and Japanese restaurants were our favorites. Guzman, our butler, was so very helpful. We never worried about anything and question, item or need were immediately taken care of. It was our first butler experience and totally worth it! Drinks were good-they were very willing to get it just how you wanted it. Beach-beautiful as always. Buffet food and seafood restaurant were mediocre. We didn’t go hungry but it wasn’t anything special. We were at Elegance-it was a pretty chill vibe. Perfect for me but the husband would have liked a little more energy. Staff was nice, professional but other than our butler they didn’t really seem interested in connecting.

Delicious flavor
Benadryl and Alexander were amazing and provided excellent service. Very friendly, kind and expressive. Very thankful for the service they provided on the trip
