Truly enjoyed the hospitality of staff at the Veranda at this resort. Miguel for breakfast was a delight. Food, smoothies, desert and drinks were excellent! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming the entire time. Truly helpful and made our vacation hands free!

Exceptional experience — Miguel and Lovenia made our stay unforgettable
Our stay at Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club was outstanding, and a huge part of that was thanks to Miguel and Lovenia. From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Miguel was incredibly knowledgeable and proactive, always ready with helpful recommendations and seamless coordination. Lovenia was equally amazing — warm, thoughtful, and consistently going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. Their professionalism and kindness truly set the tone for the entire experience. Mahogany Bay itself is beautiful, relaxing, and well run, but it’s team members like Miguel and Lovenia who elevate it to something special. We felt valued as guests and can’t thank them enough for their exceptional service. Highly recommend this resort, and especially Miguel and Lovenia — they are absolute gems.

Worst resort we've ever stayed at!!! WRONG SIDE OF THE ISLAND!
Hilton really fell short on this site. Besides the nickel and dime you approach to everything here are the reasons we won't every stay here again. 1. It stank horribly - the problem is it's on the wrong side or the island so you don't have a nice fresh sea breeze. Without the fresh sea breeze the fecal smell of the rotting sargassum is overwhelming. 2. The dust - while the wind did whip around a bit all it did was stir up the stinky dust that got into everything - we wore mask anytime we drove down there. 3. No beach - The so called private beach is a joke - the hours are very limited so watching the sunset is out of the question, it's only about two feet deep and the kayaks are busted pieces of junk. We went once and were very disappointed. 4. The power and water are spotty - shower when you can... Unlike other resorts in the area they don't have backup generators so when power goes out - it's out. 5. There are no views - all the gulf side resorts have wonderful views where folks can relax and sit on their balconies overlooking the reef - here you get filthy dusty construction as they're filling in the mangroves and building time-share condos which I can't imagine any sane person wanting. 6. The water - while some of the resorts provide reverse-osmosis tap water Mahogany Bay does not and the shower water even stinks. 7. No glass in the windows - hard to believe but true there is no glass - only screens and wood shutters which might work in widely spaced bungalows but definitely does not work in a tightly crowed and stacked units like these - one night we have to listen to blaring music and one night the couple "getting it on" next door... so much for peace and quite. We've stayed at a lot of resorts - this is by far the worst!
