Nice place
We stayed here one night to break up the drive to our destination to the week. It was great for that, not sure we would want to stay more than a few days here. The pools were really nice and the little cafe off the lobby had delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Not good
Not good. Beach area… yuck. All dirt and rocks. But if you read reviews you know. No activires around the resort. They didn’t do any cleaning of my room for a night. I’m Here now and phone doesn’t work. Dirty pillow cases after they cleaned the room and had to ask for clean ones. Since my husband is a titanium member they didn’t even upgrade us. Breakfast is probably the best thing at this resort and that’s it. We travel all over the world and pretty great resorts and this by far is the biggest let down. We are on day 2 and all of this. I would say stay elsewhere! Also drink and food service by the pool… you have to hunt them down! Won’t be back here again even though we love Costa Rica. We stayed at the springs resort four yrs ago and totally diff experience. Go there!!

Great on the surface but look elsewhere
We travel a lot and stay at many types of places, generally happily. I rarely write reviews but I am surprised that our impression of this resort did not match the reviews here so I thought I’d chime in. This resort looks great on its surface. The lobby and pool area are beautiful. That said, the total lack of beach use and a pervasive sewage smell made the resort super unappealing. While this property is sold as a beachfront resort and is technically on the water, not one person sat on or used the beach/swam in the ocean while we were there? Why? For starters, the resort is set far back from the beach. To get there you walk through the pool area and past a few t-shirt vendors. Then you get to a large rocky area that you need to walk through. Closer to the water there aren’t rocks but the sand is a very dark color and is very fine so it is basically like walking in mud. Additionally, THE ONLY amenity the resort has on the beach is a small row of warm out beach chairs, at least fifty yards from the water. No umbrellas. No employees. No bathrooms. No water sports equipment. No food or beverage service. Nothing. It’s totally deserted. Do not expect to sit on the beach or swim in the ocean here. You can take a walk down the waters edge at best. Equally as troubling, the resort is clearly having a sewage issue. The lower level of the property houses a restaurant, hotel rooms, and shared bathrooms. In many locations there is a strong sewage smell, similar to that of a well-used portapotty. This smell is also so strong in the pool bathrooms, they are unusable. Most problematic, this smell was very strong in part of our room. We decided not to switch rooms because we only stopped over and were there for two short nights. But, when I checked out I let the front desk know about the stench and the employee said, “I am sorry to hear that. Would you like a print out of your bill?” Totally unacceptable. So, while the building and pool area are beautiful and the food and drinks are fabulous, I would never stay here again. As an aside, we came to Los Suenos from the Westin Reserva Conchal which was phenomenal in every way. Stay there!

Always a 5 star memorable vacation
This was our third time visiting this fabulous resort. The rooms are comfortable and the views are beautiful. Several restaurants to choose from with delicious food options. We really loved the shrimp ceviche and Thai salad from Zoe poolside restaurant. Our server Luis Enrique was five star!! He really made our stay memorable.

Don’t skip this one!
The staff is welcoming and attentive. The grounds and rooms are pristine and beautiful. Great food and drinks! We golfed two 18 hole rounds and the staff was great! The course was fun and we saw a lot of macaws!
