Good stay
Overall a decent hotel and well priced against the Mayfair properties. Good location with easy tube access and plenty of restaurants nearby Rooms are small with minimum closet space. No upgrade even as a lifetime titanium Breakfast is good although no smoked salmon as a cost cutting measure most likely Downstairs lounge is decent but only offerings are at night. Decent selection of small plates wine and beer.

I would return again in my next London visit.
Conveniently located - a short 5mins walk from Gloucester station on Piccadilly line, Sainsbury is right across the road, Waitrose is round the corner too, etc. Room was sufficiently large for 2 persons, clean and modern. Executive lounge is decent with a couple of hot food dishes in the evening. Wines and beers are available too in the lounge. Breakfast selection is fair and service is basic.

Older Hotel and you will notice it
Older hotel with small rooms and low ceilings. Expected smaller room since it’s a big city hotel but this was a bit tight. Had an early check in and got a room on first floor (in US would be 2nd floor) - only stairs and weird swing doors to get to that floor - avoid the first floor rooms if you can. Great location - quick walk to the Subway!

Great Value in London - Solid Marriott
Firstly, I ama loyal Marriott customer. Marriot Hotels in London are expensive. Thus, when I saw a reasonable rate at the Lonon Marriott Kensington I booked it for a long weekend. I was concerned as it was much less expensive than other nearby Marriotts. When I arrived, I was extremely surprised. It is in a good, central neighborhood and is a solid business class hotel. Basically, it was a traditional Marriott...solid. The rooms are slightly small, but certainly manageable. It is clean and functional. The location is actually perfect. It is close to almost everything. One can walk, take the subway, or call an Uber. The service was superb. Ilya the Concerge was knowledgeable and helpful. I had a question on a final bill and Raouia promptly responded. I have stayed at a number of Marriott properties in London. Yes, some are grand and are worth the splurge. That said, from now on I will stay at the London Marriott for value, convenience, and professionalism of the staff.
