Best Tropical Vacation
This is our favorite place to stay on our favorite island in all of Hawaii. The pool is amazing. The staff is incredible. The shaved ice keeps us coming back every year.

Amazing location on the South Shore with some major benefits, and a few hiccups
There were a few hiccups with staff at the Holoholo grill, specifically the bar closing earlier than listed hours, and bartenders being a bit dismissive and short when ordering - recognizing they're closing, but there's an expectation when hours are posted that last call is 15 minutes before close, rather than an hour and 15 minutes... That said, everything else about the stay has been incredible. The pool is definitely worthy of it's "best pool" title, and was perfect for ages 5-45... Room accommodations were ideal, and service was top notch, including special towel requests. One of the best experiences though was from Dreana & Shea Rylin at the Activity Hut - just sharing insights about the property, and island, being helpful and attentive, especially to our littles (ages 5 & 8) and all around friendly and very hospitable demeanor. The grounds staff and staff at the activity hut have been absolutely incredible, and were huge value adds to our stay! As an old industry (restaurant and bar) vet, I've been a long time believer that service is definitely the most important component of a spot - you can have the best food and drink and terrible service and have a bad time, or you can have subpar or even disappointing food and drink and great service and still have a good experience. Fortunately the Activity and Grounds / Maintenance / Front Desk staffs have helped to make this an incredible combination all around - especially in light of pivoting schedules due to rain!
