Dear Hotel Management and IHG Corporate Team, I spend one to two months every year staying in hotels across many different countries, and I can confidently say this was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in the past few years. We booked one room for a four-night stay, yet housekeeping never came on two of the four days, despite leaving the room at a reasonable hour and not displaying a “Do Not Disturb” sign. The Wi-Fi was completely unreliable, constantly dropping and making it impossible to work or attend meetings. This hotel is not suitable for business travelers. The room is extremely outdated and poorly maintained. Doors are not sealed properly, allowing hallway light into the room, and sound insulation is so poor it feels like you are sleeping in the corridor. The bathroom is old, and the bathroom door does not function properly—it frequently gets stuck and requires force, sometimes even pushing it open with your shoulder, which is completely unacceptable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable—anyone with back pain should avoid this property. Our room was on the first floor but required stairs, making it unsuitable for ADA guests. We had to carry our luggage from the lobby to an elevated level, which is unacceptable. Your advertising states that beach chairs and umbrellas are included, yet we were charged extra for a beach umbrella—a misleading and sneaky business practice. The most unacceptable part is the pricing. Rates are comparable to, or higher than, well-managed four-star hotels, yet the quality, service, and comfort are nowhere near that level. Because this property operates under the IHG brand, it urgently needs a corporate inspection. The condition and management of this hotel do not reflect IHG standards. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking.

Philise was so nice to me we’ve been to the surfcomber a lot over the years- my flight was delayed and I didn’t get in until after midnight. Philise was a welcome face at check in. She was kind compassionate and knowledgeable.

I wouldn’t come here again
Hotel grounds are disappointing and staff is not helpful. We would not recommend to anyone traveling to the Miami area.

Beautiful kids-friendly resort in a good location with friendly staff
The resort is clean, beautiful, and kids-friendly. The location is very good with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. All the staff is very nice and helpful. Carla was so good with kids for the holiday game activity, and Derek was also amazing for the kids’ holiday painting activity. My only complaint is the wall is very thin that you can hear people talking from next door as well as top and walking on the hallway. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Miami again but will ask for the top floor due to the extreme foot noise from above.
