Loved our stay here! Location is perfect in downtown Santa Barbara. There are plenty of restaurants around, as well as downstairs. The hotel is dog-friendly and we ate breakfast just outside the restaurant in the lobby. There are dog treats near check in. There’s also tea, coffee, etc. The pool area is very nice, on the rooftop so you have a nice view of Santa Barbara: the beds were comfortable and I liked the bath and the shower. Parking is $55/night valet only, so keep that in mind. We got chocolate covered strawberries and cookies as a welcome gift with some waters in the room when we arrived. I would come back again!

The Kimpton
The Kimpton Canary was a nice modern hotel, with a good restaurant, ambience, location, service, and rooms. The hotel was close to state street close to dozens of great restaurants. It was very calm no noise, could be a little cheaper, and the hotel was very clean.

Wonderful Experience
Wonderful stay - centrally located, beautiful rooftop, friendly staff. Great happy hour each afternoon and breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent.

The Best of Santa Barbara
A delightful stay --- an excellent small hotel. Everything was outstanding. Room was spacious and well designed (wonderful pillows). Service was excellent and the staff was professional and friendly. Rooftop pool was inviting and peaceful. Fitch & Fork restaurant was creative -- dinner was delicious! Convenient location. If the Canary Hotel is representative of other Kimpton Hotels, I want to stay at them all.

We had a very nice stay here. Really convenient location and great staff. The room could have been better lit. Breakfast was very good.
