Shoreline gem
This is a really nice, comfortable small hotel with great location, nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a great little restaurant on site. Not fancy, but very nice recent renovation, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms. Nice pool, but also right on the beach and on the shoreline walking path.

Great stay in Kauai
The hotel has renovated room with the kitchette and maid service made it a better value than an Airbnb. Lava Lava restaurant was great and the beach was spectacular. We also walked on the boardwalk every morning. Too good for words. I’m definitely coming back

Want great service and a wonderful experience? Then look elsewhere!
Lush grounds, gardens and pools with adequate remodeled rooms, however the compliments end there. The property invokes Econo-Lodge vibes, complimented with unwelcoming and unhelpful staff. They've forgotten the guests pay their wages, so don't expect tour or activity assistance, or a smile checking in or out, you'll upset their day. As with other reviews - parking is a nightmare - tiny spaces, small carpark make it impossible to park after 8pm. The "free" valet isn't free after tipping. There is no security presence, no locked gates or corridors as stated in the guest guide - anyone can walk in and do what they like, I'm sure not everyone using the pools was a guest. There are better options in the Coconut Beach area, don't make the same mistake I did and think this was a nice place to vacation.

4 day tour
Very cute beachside motel. Nicely remodeled 60’s 70’s style resort. Lava lava beach club attached to the motel is very nice with indoor/outdoor beachside seating. 2 nice pools and lush landscaping. Take advantage of the free beach cruiser bikes to explore Kapaa. Somewhat rocky beach was the only downside

Verify your room view before checking in.
Hotel staff is great but if you book an "ocean view" room, make sure you get an "Ocean View" room. We are in room 284 and it's "supposed" to be an ocean view but we are the 3rd room from the end of the building looking at the building in front of us with a "peek-a-boo" view of the ocean...not what an Ocean View room was pictured as on their website or Room photos. Wish I would have opted to spend less if this was what I was meant to get.
