This place has some excellent staff
We stayed for 4 nights over the busy Easter week-end, taking two rooms in the La Residenza building. Check-in and out – Efficient and appropriate. Atmosphere – Tranquil and achieves its aim of maintaining health and well-being. It really is a delightful atmosphere, very much in contrast to what Venice itself has become due to the tsunami of tourists that drown its beautiful streets, day after day. Public rooms inside the hotel – sparkling clean, stylish and emanating an upbeat and fresh quality. Transport – We used the private boat transfer from the airport on arrival and back to the airport on departure. It isn’t cheap at 160€ each way, but it is very convenient and rather exciting. (I am also past the age of carrying heavy cases.) The shuttle from the hotel to the hotel’s private boat dock very close to Piazza San Marco was excellent and ensured that we were able to split our time between relaxing at the hotel and navigating the hordes that descend on San Marco, with great ease. Each day, we looked forward to returning to the hotel. Accommodation – we stayed in the Residenza deluxe rooms. These were spacious and contained a terrace and a superb bathroom. We also appreciated being able to log-into Netflix at the end of each day. Restaurants – The breakfast buffet at Cucina each morning was superb. The choice of food was extensive and the quality of the ingredients and the preparation was very much apparent. We dined three times at Sagra (rooftop restaurant). The food was very good on the whole and the service was generally excellent. Service – Generally, this is very much as I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurant manager of Cucina was very much service-orientated and we were delighted that a rather special Sri-Lankan lady looked after us at breakfast on two days during our stay. We also encountered great service during two dinners at Sagra. A gentleman from Sicily and a lady from Argentina stood out. The young bar tender was also a delight and let’s not forget the lovely personal welcome from the male staff each time we set-foot on dry land upon our return after visiting the main island. The front desk staff, the concierge and the ‘bell boy/porter’ and the young staff at the roof-top pool were also efficient and provided professional service. The cons of staying at the JW Marriott were few: - the roof-top pool was small and disappointing and is not what I would expect at a 5 star hotel; - pillows and bed-linen should be of a higher quality; - some of the outdoor areas at the back of the island should be better maintained for a 5 star property; - we would have liked to spend some time in the spa, but the confinement of the 10-1 and 1-4 time slots didn't really suit us. We had a great stay and would return in a flash when looking for accommodation in Venice.

Venice at it's best
We visited this hotel 10 years ago a month after it opened, and again 3 weeks ago and I must say after ten years past you would expect standards to wane a bit, but this hotel hasn't, the room we stayed in was tip top, clean and well maintained, the food was scrumptious, breakfast experience was like a child walking into a sweet shop, I wanted a taste of every thing, when you think I have a rather strict regime at breakfast time All, and I mean all the staff were absolutely professional, efficient, friendly and approachable 10/10 so I would recommend a visit to anyone with hesitation

Amazing new hotel in his own island
This hotel is located in is own island (Rose’s island) in front of Venice… and they have is own transportation every 30 minutes (direct to San Marco’s square). The hotel is amazing. The island is unbelievable the space and the peace. The breakfast has all the Italian flavors and others around the world. They have a cuisine academy. The staff is super helpful and super friendly. I recommended 100% . You have the opportunity to stay in Venice without the craziness.

Great if you are staying in venice for a few days as a family
Pros: Great grounds - perfect place for families who need to escape the crowds Staff was friendly, rooms were spacious and clean. Con: Wish the shuttle ran more regularly (every 30 minutes - there is only one - you will need to wait for the next if it's full). The family pool is very small.

Great property on a private island in Venice
We were treated to a great little villa on a private island. Loved the water taxi shuttle to Shopping and tourist destinations. Wish we would have planned more time to spend using the spa, workout facilities and just exploring the property in general. Buffet Breakfasts, lunch and dinner were all quite delicious. We weren’t able to visit the fine dining restaurant as it I was booked for a private party. Great property nice, attentive staff. Only complaint is, there was no air conditioning in our room and it was very uncomfortable/stuffy on the second floor at night (mid April restrictions).
