Great Time Had By All
This was our third trip to this JW Marriot with our family. The first time was on the tail end of Covid and was a horrible experience. But we gave them another try two years later and they had improved. This last visit, at the beggining of June was the best yet. Managment seems to have hit their stride and have their staff well-trained. As a Titanium member, I was greeted with an acknowledgement of my Bonvoy status and all staff was helpful. The water park and lazy river was great and well worth the resort fee charged by the hotel.

A Nice and Large Resort North of San Antonio
I went to the JW Marriott San Antonio Resort for a business conference and I really enjoyed this hotel. I had previously visited this resort several years ago with my family to use the resort's many amenities and lazy river and water park. This time around, I had a room on the top floor (9th) with a King Bed and sitting area. The room was clean, quiet and the size of the room was good. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and there was a safe. The bathroom was also good. The hotel has a large conference center on the premises. On the way to the conference rooms, you pass a gift store (with items that are over priced) and a Starbucks. There are also several restaurants within the resort, many of which don't open until 4pm. The prices for food and drinks did appear reasonable. There are also a couple of pool tables, table shuffleboard, a small game center for kids, fitness center, and spa. Behind the resort is a decently sized pool area, lazy river and two water slides. There are also two golf courses. I really enjoyed the hotel. Some things to keep in mind are, there is a $30+ resort fee, the parking lot is large and you might have to do some walking, which can be difficult in the heat or if you are carrying lots of luggage. And the resort is isolated, as you must drive to any external restaurants or stores. However, overall, this was a great hotel and I am glad to have returned to this resort for a second visit.

Wonderful stay in serene setting
Beautiful Resort, I went for a conference, but I wouldn’t hesitate to bring the family. Excellent food, tons of activities, great pool area, and two world class golf courses. The rooms were well appointed and the location is an easy drive from the airport and close proximity to shopping and parks. A special shout out to Paola, the manager on duty the morning of April 29th. She was incredibly kind and helpful to me, and cemented my wonderful experience at the resort. It’s her hospitality and leadership that makes the experience so enjoyable.

An enjoyable Easter weekend with brunch and water park!
We stayed on the Easter weekend for a birthday celebration with the Sunday brunch. Also went to the lazy river and pool both days. Although it was of course a busy time we had employees making sure we were able to find the golf pro shop and other areas. Kudos to Tony, who stopped to give us a ride from the parking lot to the entrance when he could have driven by. A very enjoyable weekend!

Fraudulent charge
Do not stay at this Marriott. They have fraudulently charged my credit card twice and refuse to refund. I had booked a room and called back the next day to change the room type. This was all done with a Marriott representative. After our stay they still charged for two stays instead of one. I suggest to not stay here because they will fraudulently charged your card and refuse to refund.
