Nov 04, 2024A fabulous place to stay
Every year I spend a few days at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort for a business meeting. Each year I come away impressed and having enjoyed it. The place always has exceptional staff from the check in, the cleaning crew, to anyone I interact with. The Leadership team should take great pride in the people they have working here. The rooms are always comfortable, clean and some of the best I stay in during a year of travel. I haven't ever taken advantage of the water park, but I'm sure it's at the same exceptional level. Heck, I need to bring my swim trunks next year! Without reservations this is one of my favorite places to stay do to it's consistent excellence.

Oct 24, 2024Dont bother with this hotel!
Stayed at this resort last week for 5 nights and although my stay was decent, I have some disappointing things to say about the hotel and itts customer service. I lost a piece of jewelry on the property and have tried for multiple days to get some assistance from the hotel to no avail. This is incredibly upsetting that the managers (Mario Alejandro) that I have tried to contact several times seem to not care in addition to other staff I have tried to contact. Dont expect much from their staff, its abysmal that I spent thousands at that hotel and they are so hopeless to respond or assist me with an urgent matter.

Nice Weekend Getaway
A first class resort with first class amenities and extremely helpful staff. No need to travel out of state to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Everything you need to make you feel at home and welcome. The large pool area and lazy river are amazing.

GEM Annual Conference in San Antonio
GEM Annual Conference at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa. What an incredible experience! I have traveled to many cities and conventions over the last 50 years, and I have never experienced such a fantastic facility, more gracious staff, and better overall experience. There were many families there enjoying the many amenities, such as the water park, and there were multiple conferences at the facility. So it is a great place for families and also a wonderful location for a major conference. It is away from the city so the overall environment is a great place for relaxation!

Sep 28, 2024Murphy bed boardroom 3 dressed up as a 9 hotel
JW Marriot HILL RESORT PKWY SAN Antonio— “Suite” room anything but sweet! Literally a peculiar $900USD not very comfortable Murphy bed that’s in an overcrowded boardroom. Hotel sadly is a 3 dressed up as a 9. Overcrowded with guests and not enough amenities to serve everyone. On top of the fact it is a child “Disney” place and not really geared to “professional” adults here attending a conference. Difficult to mingle and meet others in the industry or find a reasonably quiet area to talk due to loud music and/or kids running around/screaming. Great for families. NOT A ROMANTIC GET AWAY! Water park Music plays ALL NIGHT so ongoing noise if your room is on that side. Very large and numerous rooms. We checked in at 6 pm and our adjoining rooms were still not ready so we either had to continue to wait or stay away from each other which ended up being floors apart….. here for networking and spending time together so that was ruined. Plus having your futon-like bed in your “social” space that didn’t have accommodating clothing storage space was a turn off. Gym good. Spa area nice and bistro at least has healthy menu options. Staff very pleasant. Would not recommend staying here!
