    Lousy Management and Staff Poor service level standards

    Hi I have booked 2 room vide confirmation no 83434321 AND 75234267 and sent seperate credit card authorsiation form with card ending 3800 for CAD 2389.55 and card no ending with 8249 for CAD 3137.24 whereas they have charged bothy card for CAD 2389.55 and even removed the reservation from my bonvoy app . We are fed up with such lousy management system of JW Marriott. The team is charging the card randomly and they have blocked now if we authorised below pattern for card why separate amount was charged ?

    other than bed not much more than a super 8 or Travelodge

    Location is good down by water but not sure why they charge what they charge. Other than bed being really comfortable the place is like a 2 or 3 star. pros Location Bed and linens comfortable room relatively quiet a few staff wonderful but mostly not they are woke and not concerned to provide any semblance of service decent wifi beautiful decorated room and public spaces Cons Rude staff that do not want to help cold rooms cannot get temperature above 70 degrees. room for two only had 1 robe and slippers was given a tone of you bothered me when requesting a second set. noise from hallways 6am could here people talking and a cell phone ring terrible construction see photo of crooked door with light showing all around leading to noise from hallway no pool no recognition of status from Marriott no upgrade for status 8 times now various properties(Marriott tries to save convoy is wonderful but will not provide any of the benefits) no asking how stay was at check out just give you a print out of bill no professional putting in envelope and thanking for stay forgot something was given attitude of leave number we call back in 24hrs.when got short they cold magically do and found items and went from there online check in does not work given excuses from manager it is the card not us. Again never works at Marriott they should scrap it to ensure bugs are out before offering it. not sure what justifies the outrageous prices when you can stay at the days in or Hampton in for 200 or more less dollars and have the same or better level of service.

    Guest service lacking, wouldn’t recommend

    Not up to the standards of other Marriotts, guest service is terrible. Wouldn’t return. Stayed at Marriott for years, always had a pleasant experience until now. Check in and check outs were most unpleasant.

    Mediocre Hotel. Outrageous Prices.

    I have been to many Marriott Hotels, and many JW Marriott properties. I am a lifetime Titanium Bonvoy Member. I am rarely as disappointed at a Marriott, particularly the JW badge, as I was here. We were on an anniversary trip, and I was ready to spend a goodly amount for a nice experience. Well, I spent an outrageous amount -- and had a bad experience. The rooms were priced so high that I guess I was expecting something worth the rate. Here, I was paying over $700 USD, for the smallest king I had ever been in. There was a king bed, and literally no room for two people to move around in. No dressers, drawers, etc, to store your clothing, etc. One small chair. A tiny closet, too small for two people on a four day trip. Dated decor. Towels that belong in a cheap motel. And my "water view" was a sliver of river, surrounded by ugly neighboring buildings. A huge disappointment in every way. Would have received one star, except the staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful (except that they couldn't find me a different room). Never going back to this one, at any price. And I paid way, way too much. I'm kind of embarrassed, really, to have been taken like this. It is not usually Marriott's way.

    Great stay

    I stayed for 2 nights in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our first stay in the property and and overall, got a really good experience. The hotel is big and nice. I booked through Amex FHR and got upgraded to a bigger room with a small living room. Prior our arrival, concierge Leslie got in touch with me to make sure we got everything we needed. She was truly amazing, made a dinner reservation, requested an early check in, asked her to buy a flower bouquet (she picked a beautiful one), and even send a complimentary cake to our room to help us celebrate our special occasion. We mostly stayed in the hotel, had a dinner at the Victor and breakfast/lunch at Honey salt. We enjoyed both places, and the staff at the restaurants and the hotel were all very helpful. It can be crowded on the weekends due to the casino. And the parking smells to urine at some spots. I think that is the only negative, although is kind of out of their control. On the good side, I got to use the free EV chargers there so that was really helpful to make our drive home way easier with a full battery. The location is also good. There are plenty of restaurants with different cuisines and within walking distance, also shops, cafes, etc. I do recommend this property. Next time we are in Vancouver we will probably stay there again.
