Not family friendly
The hotel is beautiful but I would only recommend it for couples. The staff is very polite but cold. The titanium elite member and only one guest get access to the lounge. Additional family members are $150 per day. I only use the lounge for breakfast so obviously it is not worth it to pay this amount for each of my 3 kids. I went to the afternoon lounge once just to check it outand they had French fries and dry inedible Turkey with gravy, similar to a bad airline meal. The food here is definitely not worth $150 or even $20 per day. During our stay we did not use the lounge despite paying for 2 rooms. I believe they do this on purpose so platinum members do not use the lounge . I suggest staying at another hotel when traveling with family. Every Marriott property is a little different with regards to elite privileges. I find the JW brand to be the most stingy and unfriendly. For reference I stayed at the Plaza Hotel in San Fransisco had 3 rooms and we had 2 breakfast vouchers for each room for their extensive breakfast buffet. The Westin Whistler also gave us 2 vouchers for each room. I stay at Marriott properties about 40 days a year and most extend the elite privileges to all the guests especially if you are with children. This is one of those hotels that you come to once.

Nice stay; Good location to Yaletown
Stayed here for 1 night. Very close proximity to BC Place. Got upgraded due to my titanium status. Very spacious room! The executive lounge was very nice and big and had a lot of amenities. The restaurant in the lobby level is nice and serves some happy hour. Would stay here again if the prices are reasonable

WELL above average
Pretty close to a flawless trip! Everyone… to a person … was professional, welcoming, polite, attentive and engaged! The upgrade was phenomenal, the lounge far exceeded any US offering (farrrr), the location perfect, and my wife loved the smell of the diffusers. We walked to Nando’s in one direction, The Christmas Market in another, Whole Foods in a third (across the Cambie St Bridge), the Science Centre and only a few steps from Pacific Central Station and the train to and from Seattle! We bought the hand soap (which is featured in the rooms) from the spa. We made small donations to the casino. But all offset by the lovely meals in the lounge. We can’t wait to return!

Adults Only
The public areas of this hotel are very small. The check in desk is right at the front doors and there is single hallway to the elevators for the rooms. The restaurant, Honey Salt, and a golf store are located directly beside the check in desk. There is no “lobby” or seating area. There is no pool. If you are travelling with family members under 19, this is important info because there is nothing for them to do and no where to go other than their room. The rest of the space is part of a casino that is adult only space. All other dining options are in the casino. The rooms are pleasant but nothing special at price point. Because of the lack of public space, the property doesn’t feel “luxury” or “grand”. It’s nice and new and clean.

Visit to attend BC Place.
Picked hotel as it was next door to BC Place and the Grey Cup. Great checking ad staff experience always offering assistance. Numerous in house restaurants and several more across the street. Room was very quiet. Shower was great. Comfy king bed. Great larger than average TV.
