Spring Break 2025, mom with (2) teens
We just returned from a 4 night/5 day stay. Myself and my 2 teenagers (15/17) on spring break, First off - This hotel is NOT in Cabo, it is a 30 -40-minute uber to downtown Cabo. It is 20 miles or so to the airport and a 10-minute drive to the downtown area of San Juan, I was not aware until I was there. The entrance to JW is spectacular. The hotel is massive with 7 buildings with sleeping rooms. We were in building A that was one of the 2 closest to the ocean. At night the hotel was quiet. Rooms were nice, we had a 2-bed room. Rooms felt a bit outdated. Patio chairs were worn. Bathroom was nice. Hotel grounds - spotless. Pool areas - were showing age, with some broken tiles. If the hotel is close to capacity, the pool runs out of chairs, so get their early. Bathroom at the pool so HOT, it needed air flow. It is located in a "Tunnel" under the pool area. Also - if you are worried about walking stairs, this is not the hotel for you. Stairs everywhere from the main level down to the breakfast area, pools, dinner, etc. If you have Marriott status, I am lifetime Titanium, you get 2 free "American breakfasts". The breakfast is adequate. We had that for 2 days and moved to the full buffet, which was amazing. $50 per person. With my status I get (2) for $50 and then charged $50 for the third. Pool food was good, what you would hope for. Service was good. If you like to walk on the beach, do not stay here. It is not easy to get to the beach and the walk is very short when you make it. If you love the beach, stay closer to Cabo. Again swimming in the ocean in this overall area is not safe; rough with lots of large rocks. We did see whales, but not from the hotel, but on our boat cruise. Dinners. we only ate dinner at the hotel 1 time, it was good. The rest of the time we Ubered into San John for amazing meals. I toured the spa, looked wonderful. Fitness room had a lot of options. Conference center looked very nice. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, safe, good food, nice coffee bar in lobby area. You are "away" from all the other resorts or towns. Golf courses are near by. This hotel could certainly be an all-inclusive, I wish it was.

Amazing Views - Food needs some work
Overall a very relaxing few days while we celebrated our anniversary. The staff was the highlight with everyone wishing us a happy anniversary both at breakfast and champagne/strawberries in our room. We stayed in a King ocean view room (B308) and the room was nice however the layout was a little off given the closet opens up into the only walkway in the room so my husband and I kept bumping into each other while unpacking and the bathroom is nice except I'm not a fan of a glass door where the toilet is and it was so close to the toilet it felt cramped. The bed was comfortable but the couch had a weird smell so I didn't lay on that. The balcony was my highlight every morning, sitting out there and watching the sun rise and catch the cool breeze. We only went to the adult pool / bar and it was extremely relaxing. The drinks were really good however lunch was hit/miss. My husband had the BBQ Wings and loved them and I had the Shrimp dumplings (very good!) and Fish & Chips (not good, fish was over fried and battered and the chips were bland). First night there we went to El Luchador and was very underwhelming but we were exhausted from a delayed flight and just hungry. The tacos were too busy, I was hoping for just a straight up street taco and not a 2 chicken strips with a big block of cheese and too much mole. Breakfast at UA was disgusting, the omelete was dry and the "hash brown" was fried until it was inedible. No amount of ketchup could save that hash brown. The next morning I played it safe and ordered room service with yogurt and a croissant. We opted to eat off property after that, didn't want to chance another overpriced and underwhelming food experience. The Niparaya JW Bar is where you need to be for excellent drinks and appetizers / food along with a view that will put you in relaxation mode immediately! Old Fashioned & Manhattans are done well and the dragon roll was delicious (the mango roll was bland). The one common thread was the amazing views and phenomenal staff! If the food quality is elevated, this stay would be a 5 stars!!

JW Marriott Los Cabos Kids Club
Our 7 year old had the greatest experience with Karla, Paula, Sofia, and Gina at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Kids Club. Lots of fun with the kids, activities, and etc. The staff was amazing and we were able to enjoy activities on and off site. Highly recommend their services!

Ground maintenance noise was unbearable.
I stay in hotels 18 days a month. I have over 5000 hotel stays I’m top tier at Marriott and Hilton brands. The hotel is very nice as one would expect. However the ground maintenance crew is out each day running their gas powered equipment all day long the noise was unbelievable. No peace at all until about 4pm each day it was impossible to relax on my balcony or in the room. The spa had both steam and sauna rooms but neither one was working.

Incredible week at the Marriott! Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough about the staff at the Los Cabos Marriott. Our son was married near the hotel on March 1st and we were constantly catered to and taken care of throughout our week long stay. A special shout out to Avril who was incredible! Thank you!
