Perfect resort in Jamaica!
We came here with another couple and were concerned about the aftermath of 2025 hurricane that hit the island. This Ibrrostar resort had no issues at all! Staff is nice🍾👍. Our butler service was outstanding and very attentive. I would love to come here again next year!

Experience was great! Our Butlers Andre and Alain were quick and professional. The showers are nice but would have lived a little shelf would have made just storing toiletries easier. The restaurants are open at weird times but the buffet is absolutely amazing.

The weather didn’t play ball, but the efforts of the staff made for an excellent time!
We stayed for 7 nights, and although the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a great time. Alain (one of our butlers) made a special effort to ensure we had everything we needed. He organised a beautiful decoration of our room for my wife’s birthday, and was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. All the staff were extremely nice, and the whole place had a great vibe.

Our Awesome Trip to Iberostar Joia Montego Bay
We needed to escape a very long cold Canadian winter and we chose one of our favourite countries Jamaica. We decided to go and support the folks in Jamaica who were recovering from the recent hurricane. Joia is a five star resort in all respects. Food is incredible. The beach is a great walk. The pools offer everything. And then there are the room butlers. We had Omar and Christopher as our two remarkable butlers. These two fellows were there for us day and night assisting us with every room need we had to reservations, just everything. We will not return to Joia without booking a room with a butler again. Bottom line - come visit this very special place in Jamaica!

Another great experience at the Joia
We travelled to the Joia from Jan 23rd to Feb 3rd. Once again we enjoyed our vacation. it is amazing how the resort has recovered from the hurricane. The rooms are large the beds are very comfortable. I am happy that we brought our own pillows as the pillows are very hard. The bathroom is huge with 2 vanities a rain shower and jetted tub. The balcony has a basket swing, couch and coffee table perfect for watching the ocean from sipping on a coffee in the morning. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas and covered beds around the pool. I would estimate that they have managed to put up approximately 30-40 beach umbrellas as well as 10 beach beds with umbrellas. The beach is raked every morning at daybreak to ensure there is no seaweed or garbage visible. The Cleanliness of the resort is outstanding. There is a fresh smell and everything shines. Check-in was quick we arrived early 12:30ish. Our room wasn’t ready yet consequently they gave us our bracelets and had us go for lunch. We went up to the desk after lunch they programmed our bracelets and gave us our room. The room was fully stocked with the mini. Bar snacks A beach bag, towels and flip flops if needed. The food at the resort is amazing. The breakfast buffet has so many different stations there is no reason you not to be able to find things you like there are 2 omlet stations, cold cuts cheese, seafood, fruit bar, smoothie stations made to order, bakery, fresh waffle and pancake bar, bakery including donuts, muffins, croissants, and a variety of breads there is also a yogurt stations made with a wide array of things to accompany the yogurt and of course a juice bar. The buffet at lunch was equally as good. You also have the choice of the beach shack where you can get jerk chicken patties, burgers hot dogs etc. 3 times while we were there there were cooking lessons on the beach for various dishes at lunch time. We also enjoyed our meals in the evening at the steakhouse, the French restaurant, the Japanese and the Italian restaurants. Our favourite meal at night was on the Friday nights we were there it was a buffet called the Gala the food was out of this world. Everything was amazing The staff at this hotel are phenomenal a few of our favourites to name a few are Bubbles (entertainment crew). Rohan, Gary, and Kadeen (butlers) Andrew (server at the steakhouse) Judy food and beverage manager. Rose Marie (housekeeping. Sadly due to the renovations that are pending at this resort I worry for the staff. they have been through the the worst hurricane in history and are trying to rebuild their lives they potentially will be out of work for another 6 months. I pray that the corporation will take the employees situation into consideration and ensure they all have work of some kind while these renovations are going on. I’m am sure that they would be willing to help out in the sister resorts as well as some of the staff would be open to helping with the construction aspect of refurbishing the hotel.
