Home away from Home
I want to shout out the front office team. Eduardo Paz, Francisco Jimenez. Thank you for being great examples of true hospitality... I feel InterContinental Hotel San Salvador is like my home away from home. Every time I visit, I enjoy the hotel amenities. I highly recommend a massage at the spa book with Edith for the best treatment. She will ensure you leave like a new person. As well I enjoyed meals at Picasso. Where I was welcomed like family by Alexander and Sebastian, and let's not forget Nora with that beautiful smile during breakfast, ensuring experience was exceptional... I am looking forward to more great experiences like this at InterContinental San Salvador.

Hotel with a useful bridge link
Looks nice from outside. Good over road bridge link to all restaurants and mall. Room shower is so slow that you need time & patience . Almost fell asleep taking a shower. Breakfast - poor hot menu choice. Power cuts Good security at front entrance.

Perfect base for a work week
I spent four nights here during a conference and was very happy with my stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had everything necessary (coffee machine, iron, desk, blackout curtains, blow-dryer etc.). The bed was a bit too soft for my taste but comfy). Internet worked impeccably, including for video calls. Many reviews mention that there's an issue with the windows being foggy - I noticed that but it didn't bother me. I had a room opposite the elevator and it was quite noisy in the mornings but since I had to get up early all days it didn't really bother me either. The breakfast is plentiful - lots of fruit, cereals, pastries, bread, egg options, pancake station, just not that many tea options. The front desk organized a driver and guide for me to do a little tour to the Oscar Romero sites on my last day and I could not have been happier with the guide, he was amazing. There's a small pool next to the gym and spa, I got a massage but it was just ok. You can walk across the street at any time on the walkway and go to the Metrocentro mall which has everything you need - restaurants, supermarket, pharmacies, a lovely shop with high quality souvenirs and lots of other shops, that was really convenient. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel as a base for a work trip.

5 Star quality.
Hands down one of the best hotels in the capital. Best service ever. The rooms are clean and tidy. The food in the eateries are exquisite. When we were there, there was a huge wedding which took up a lot of room in the open, common area, but it was OK since we did not want to hang there anyway. Just mention it because it may come as a shick to anyone who is not expecting a full hotel take over by one family. The Metro Mall is walking distance. Cannot say enough about the cleanliness.

A stay you won't regret
I only stayed for 1 night as I landed in the middle of the night, but didn't want to stay in the city. I did manage to get a 90 min maasage with an express facial the night before I checked out. It was the best way to end my stay and night after a tour of San Salvador that same day. This is such a beautiful hotel. The service was wonderful and the room was very clean and cozy. Great location with many things to do around the hotel.
