    Great choice when in Lisbon.

Great hotel, very comfortable. Room had everything we needed and a fantastic view of the city. The location also cannot be faulted. Used the concierge, an older gentleman, who really went the extra mile to make sure we had a great dinner at Oceans 5. We would not hesitate to stay there again on our next visit to Lisbon.

    Royal Treatment before our Cruise

We stayed here in January 2018 and chose this as well for our 2nd Portuguese visit from 3-6 October 2024. We had booked a cruise from Lisbon to Miami and stayed here the 3 nights prior to our cruise. There was a scary moment the day before our arrival when the IHG app said our reservation had been cancelled. I called the IHG number and was told that it showed as cancelled in their system. I said that I hadn't cancelled and received no email with that information, which I always do when I cancel? They called the hotel and spoke to Annabella at the front desk; she confirmed that I still had my reservation. I also sent an email to João Rocha and received confirmation that our reservation was still valid. "Regarding your reservation rest assured we have it in our system and we are expecting you tomorrow 3rd of October for your check in. We wish you a safe and smooth travel to Lisbon!" When we arrived about noon, João was there and took great care of us and our check-in. He became our main go-to person. We were upgraded to a top floor room, 1920. They have 2 story rooms, but I am glad that we had a one floor room due to my bad leg and stairs in the room! We had a 2 room corner suite with an entry hall and bathroom. One issue that should be updated concerns the electrical outlets and lack of USB plugs. We had to unplug the lamps on each side and use adaptors so that we could have both the lamps and our CPAP machines attached to the electrical source. I did notice the lamp on my side had a frayed cord so I notified the hotel after our stay and was thanked. The entryway had a closet with a safe. The bathroom was to right upon entry and included a tub with shower, two sinks, a toilet, and bidet. All was good, including the dispensers with shampoo, etc. A bar of soap on the bidet was appreciated as I use since I am old fashioned and still prefer to wash in the tub/shower with such! The bedroom, straight ahead at entry, had a king bed, a chair with ottoman by the window, and a TV on top of a dresser, which had a bottle of complimentary water, restocked each day. The living room area, to the left upon entry, had a full kitchen, but we only used for the extra space. (we weren't on vacation to cook) There was a sofa, a few chairs, desk with chair, another TV on top of more shelves, and coffee table in the center. The corner view from the living room and the view west (?) from the bedroom were great. All was clean upon arrival and cleaned both full days. One day our "Do not Disturb" sign disappeared so the maid tried to enter our locked room. Upon request, she gave us a new sign. In 2018, renovations were underway so we received no room upgrade. This time they went above and beyond! Obrigado! A few weeks before our arrival, I contacted the hotel for information about the Club Lounge; I receive access because of my 40+ IHG stays the prior calendar year, to notify them of our early afternoon arrival. I received information about the hours, breakfast, happy hour, afternoon tea and more from many people, including Diogo Gaboleiro, Francisco Lopes, Maarten P. Drenth, General Manager, and João Rocha. We ate breakfast in the lounge on days 1 and 3 but had breakfast in the restaurant on day 2. The lounge breakfast was good and included almost everything in the restaurant, but there were a few more choices in the restaurant. We preferred the lounge overall due to the service and no crowd. The happy hour was great with wine, beer, and more. I even tried their Portuguese gin but didn't really like the taste! The food offerings were ample so that we didn't have to eat out for dinner. We ate lunch one day in the Akla restaurant. A separate review will be posted. We had fried cuttlefish the next day on our tour to Arrabida. In conclusion, I would definitely choose this hotel if/when we return to Lisbon. I also recommend I Go Portugal (Pedro owner) for any tours and transfers. All of the above mentioned names plus those not named made our stay very memorable. Again, Muito Obrigado!

    Comfortable stay with few hiccups

Excellent hotel, and the best choice we could have made for our stay in Lisbon! Even though the hotel is large, I found that the staff always found time to make our stay personable. Concierge helped with planning daily, the front desk tried really hard to address all issues, restaurant staff carefully took orders and respected all our food preferences, and the lobby staff was my favourite - always there to help get a car, carry bags, give advice, and store the luggage. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. We had a corner room overlooking a lush green park. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was huge, well appointed, with luxurious Byredo products, and nice hot showers. Few things that would have made the stay perfect - quality of towels was appaling (worn out, thin, and grey-ish); poor cleaning (there were clumps of blond hair on a shower wall and soap rest); and unexpected morning visit by the hotel staff barging into the room, without bothering to wait for us to answer the door, ostensibly to check the mini-bar at 8:30 AM!! That said, the hotel did its best to address our complaints and left a wonderfull overall impression. Thank you!

    Great service

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive! Thanks to Diana at Reception who ensured we had a room earlier, we arrived very tired after a night flight. Many thanks to Joao Rocha and Francisco, whose professionalism and exceptional customer service truly impressed me! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are seeking comfort, service, cleanliness and location. Thank you for making our stay here such a special one! Will definitely return.

Usual good IC standard, but lounge has no windows...

Been there the second time. Got an upgrade to a premium room in a hi9gh floor with nice outlook. Interior modern and clean, staff friendly. Only little drawback was the location of the lounge in the basement without any windows. Otherwise the lounge was nice with friendly staff and enough choice of f&b. Would come again.
