Our favorite all inclusive we have been to
Love the bones of this already—great details, just needs tightening, flow, and a slightly more polished cadence. Here’s a refined version that keeps your voice, removes repetition, and reads chef’s kiss for a high-end resort review: ⸻ One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed—and easily our favorite all-inclusive. The property is immaculate, and the staff was phenomenal across the board, starting with the unique catamaran ride to the private dock. Being greeted with serious White Lotus vibes, a cold non-alcoholic drink, and a warm “welcome home” set the tone immediately. The service and food were exceptional. Historically, steakhouses at all-inclusive resorts have been our least favorite, but this one was arguably our favorite restaurant on the property. The quality of the beef was excellent—hopefully they continue sourcing at that level because it really stood out. There are multiple pools to choose from depending on the vibe you’re looking for, including a massive hot tub that could easily be mistaken for a small pool on cooler days. Hibachi was another highlight—Tony did an outstanding job both entertaining and cooking, making it one of our favorite dinner experiences. The butler service via WhatsApp was extremely responsive, and check-in was refreshingly easy—no long, drawn-out nonsense after a day of travel. The coffee shop was top-notch as well, genuinely better than Starbucks, and by day three the staff remembered exactly how we liked our coffee. We highly recommend this resort for an anniversary trip (we celebrated our 9-year anniversary here), and it also looked perfect for an adults-only wedding. We only encountered one brunch buffet—which we appreciated, as we’re not big buffet fans. Having most meals freshly made to order was a refreshing change. This truly feels like a boutique-style Hyatt property. If I had to be picky, the only downsides were a smaller gym that could be upgraded, firm pillows (which they swapped out immediately), lower shower water pressure, and a slide that should either be made operational or removed entirely—the property doesn’t need it. Our butlers, Vianey and Wedinzon, were fantastic. They made dinner reservations effortless and kept us informed of daily activities with both printed schedules in the room and electronic updates in the app—a very nice touch. We will absolutely be back. ⸻

A Truly Magical Stay – Exceptional Service by David, Zelma, and Ritik!
Our stay at Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets was absolutely unforgettable. The resort itself is stunning, but it was the incredible staff who made our experience so special. A huge, heartfelt thank you to David, Zelma, and Ritik. They provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to ensure every moment of our stay was perfect. Their warmth and professionalism truly stand out. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury getaway with world-class hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

Superb and Genuine hospitality
Dear Impression Isla Mujeres Leadership Team, I am writing to express our sincere and enthusiastic appreciation for the extraordinary care, warmth, and professionalism we experienced during our recent stay at Secrets Isla Mujeres. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation truly memorable, and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for at every turn. Our butlers, Angel and Alexander, were exceptional. They seamlessly accommodated all of our needs, including dinner reservations and assisting with rearranging our transfer from Secrets to the ferry back to Cancun Airport when extreme winds made the catamaran transfer unsafe. This was particularly impressive given that we had independently arranged the transfer. Nothing was ever too much trouble—whether it was towels, bike usage, advice about the area, or keeping us informed and included in the many activities taking place. They were consistently gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. The gentlemen at the Cacao Barista, Eduardo and Luis, were an absolute highlight of our stay. They were warm, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. They patiently gave us Spanish lessons, and each visit—for an exceptional café latte, affogato, dessert pastry, scoop of delicious gelato, or simply a cup of coffee—was met with genuine happiness to see us. We truly enjoyed our conversations with them and looked forward to seeing them each day. The General Manager, Mourad Essafi, delivered an unforgettable experience by preparing a private lunch for approximately 25 guests directly in front of us. The meal was delicious, and his warmth, graciousness, and step-by-step instruction made the experience both engaging and inclusive. When I had to leave early for a business call, he personally inquired about my absence and thoughtfully arranged for the meal he prepared to be delivered to my room while I was on a Zoom meeting. He ensured I felt included despite not being able to remain with the group. Later, he took time to meet with my wife and me personally and offered invaluable guidance and insight about Secrets properties around the world. His leadership and personal touch are truly exceptional. At Unik, we were fortunate to be served by Erik Alexander, a young waiter new to the property who is truly a diamond in the rough. He made every effort to assist us, checked on us attentively throughout each meal, and was always eager to help with anything we needed. His genuine desire to serve guests and create a wonderful experience is a tremendous asset to Secrets and should be both nurtured and recognized. Another standout and true gem of Secrets Isla Mujeres is Ritik Chaudhary. Though one person, he seemed to be everywhere. He checked in with my wife and me daily—often multiple times a day—to ensure our experience was nothing short of exceptional. He is warm, happy, and consistently pleasant, and I have no doubt he has the potential to one day manage his own Secrets property. Please extend our heartfelt thanks and recognition to each of these remarkable individuals. They collectively represent the very best of what Secrets Isla Mujeres has to offer and are the reason our stay was so special. 5 day retreat at Impressions Isla Mujeres
Just returned from an amazing 5 day break at Impressions Isla Mujeres. While the weather was uncooperative (windy and chilly)) our experience did not disappoint. The welcome crew greeting us at the arrival dock was a scene straight out of The White Lotus. Our butlers Zelma and David are a seamless team who handled all of our requests promptly and made us feel like their only guests; from dinner reservations, to a special birthday recognition, even cigars personally picked up from a trusted source downtown. Our room was upgraded, the spa was beautiful, and the food and drinks were top notch. The Guest Experience Manager, Ritik visited with us after Zelma's discrete suggestion over a situation she felt needed addressing - he even pulled a cocktail napkin straight out of thin air when I dribbled a drink on my shirt while talking - he's like the David Copperfield of hospitality! Recommend renting a golf cart to explore the island - David was so helpful giving us tips and tricks about where to visit and how to manage the sales vendors downtown. Just an overall intimate, very personalized experience. We will be back in October.

Management and process issues let down this beautiful property
I evaluate hotels I have stayed in against others in the same tier. At this price point and star level, that includes brands such as Four Seasons, Auberge and Ritz-Carlton. While the resort is beautiful and the staff are, for the most part, wonderful, these strengths were undercut by multiple issues we encountered: There is no wine list in any restaurant unless you go outside AI. You are not told about this in advance. When we requested a wine list at the steakhouse restaurant, we were subject to an aggressive upsell by the Food and Beverage Manager/Sommelier. When we made it clear we were not paying extra, he announced it loudly and rudely, came back with a generic red wine and poured without further conversation- he had no interest in us beyond the potential upsell Ribeye steak in steakhouse restaurant was the toughest piece of beef I have ever eaten Food in sushi restaurant was mediocre Individual staff members were great however there is a lot of untrained wait staff at breakfast. These staff are uncomfortable and walking around without direction while I am trying to get someone’s attention for a coffee refill A friend had paid the hotel (a lot of money) to have a bottle of Moët champagne delivered to our room on my birthday. It was delivered 3 days later, just before we checked out. No apology from the hotel for this process screw up. Blackout blind in bedroom was malfunctioning and had holes in it. While maintenance men were in our bedroom frequently trying to fix it, it needed to be replaced. This did not happen. Balcony not cleaned during our stay. I know as my red nail varnish chipped off my nail on first day. It was still there, untouched, when we were departing. It was easily removed it swept or washed Steamer gave minor electrical shocks, it was replaced upon request. Replacement did not work. We gave up. Mirror in bedroom not cleaned during our stay - water had sprayed on first day from faulty steamer. Water marks untouched when we were checking out. Minibar only refilled upon request Balcony smaller than it appears in pictures and a heat trap - only usable if temperature is below 70. We stayed in Junior Suite King Ocean Front. Room 1407 Overall, these issues suggest a management approach that prioritises cost cutting at the expense of guest experience. Positives: Early check-in and late check out appreciated Catamaran did not sail on day we left. The hotel handled this very well, even having staff at point of ferry departure and also at ferry arrival point in Cancun Pools and beach area beautiful and well staffed Coffee shop had good quality cakes, ice-cream and chocolate Butler service worked well - guys were helpful and responsive
