The staff made all the difference!

I want to start my review with complements to the staff! ALL THE STAFF! The fitness instructor, Manolo, is amazing, he also offers physiotherapy, if I’d knows about him before our stay, I would have booked a personal training session for every day of our stay! The entertainment team offered a new program every night, broadway quality for sure! Full of energy; super talented. Activity team made the stay super fun, they were always so pleasant, with a smile on at all times, funny; engaging. Competitions and prizes were offered for all ages. Azael and team: Thank you! Being spring break, the hotel Did not feel crowded at all. The hotel grounds, beach, pool and restaurants are 5 stars, Th rooms are a very good 3 starts at most, and can do with refurbishments, but it did not matter, because the staff made the stay incredible. Dinner Buffet restaurant offered a new theme every night. Ala cart restaurants did not need booking, it was first come, and the wait was not long. Clean grounds, pool tables, pickabal and basketball courts, board games in the lobby. You can rent a car from Alamo in the reception area, Snorkling and other activities. We missed our snorkel trip due to weather and got a refund (tbc). instead snorkelled off shore and saw good amount of fish, endless conchs, and one rayfish! Rooms get cleaned daily. We would Come back!

They stole 1K+ in cash from our room. Never stay here. Food is terrible as well and the place is dirty.

    Great entertainment people!

Iberostar CZM has a multitude of great aspects from the convenient no expense added food, to the astounding environmental architecture. Though, what I want to highlight is the entertainment! Every night the crew throws a show of varying themes, such as Latin dance, 80's, or popular film, and they are truly the STARS to the Iberostar. I really love how the singers have so much passion for their show, and how they choreograph so well while also adding funny gags in between! This shout out goes specifically to Alexis, Faride, Zoe, Chris, and Angie who played the main role as singers/dancers. I would also like to shout out Humberto, Azael, Elliott, Joss, Judith, Lili who were great at hyping the crowd as dancers. The other dancers were also seen around hosting a verity of fun games and activates, such as volleyball and pool competitions. A specific set of activities I would like to mention are the arts and crafts! I met the wonderful staff Ismael, Rosa, and Sol who helped us through making tote bags and dream catchers. All in all, when I come beck I will be looking forward to the shows and activities!

Back again - love this place!

This was our fourth time to Iberostar Cozumel, and we really love it. For the most part, we had an excellent trip, with just a couple minor hiccups. Check in through the prestige club was seamless as always. We were welcomed by some familiar faces, and some new ones. One small hiccup, when we checked in we were given a room with two twin beds, and not a King as we had requested. We realize it's not guaranteed, but given we pre-booked our room almost a year prior, it is a bit frustrating. Big thank you to Raul in the Prestige area who really worked to find us a room with a King bed after a few days, that we were able to move to. Raul really worked hard the entire two weeks we were there to make us feel welcome, valued and comfortable, as did Mariela - thank you both! The food - we chose to stick with the buffet, and find there is a good variety and quantity of food available - no complaints. The egg station in the morning moved quickly and always had great service there. Cindy is a delight as always - and we are always so happy to see her. We consistently had good service for supper and breakfast in the buffet. We also appreciated the extra efforts management in food service made to make improvements and solicit feedback from guests. We LOVED the seafood Paella and other "special" lunches on the beach - fabulous! Housekeeping was great, and NO complaints there - rooms was clean, re-stocked and any extras we asked for were provided with a smile - thank you Aldo!! Our time in the prestige area is always enjoyable, and Reyes, and Isidro serving guests the best beverages there - thank you so much! always a smile and EXCELLENT service!! The one NEGATIVE - is the smoking on the resort. There was a "party" in the room below us, where we saw and smelled several people smoking. The smell came into our room. We also observed the room directly across from us, guests smoking daily on the deck with the smell drifting over to us. We did call the front desk and they said "perhaps it's a smoking room" which we didn't appreciate given the resort has DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS" and all rooms/balconies are non-smoking. Also, they suggested we were close to the smoking area - which we absolutely were not - we were quite a distance from it. All in all, and excellent holiday and we look forward to coming back later this year.
