    Excellent!

Perfect!......... This place exceeded our expectations. This is our 3rd. Iberostar resorts in the past 7 years and all were fantastic. Excellent value for your money. Great location. Great selection of food and drinks. The room cleaning service was very good. The pools were wonderful but could have been a bit warmer (ocean was actually warmer than the pools). The beach was great for long walks with very little seaweed/sargassum and never a problem as we actually never even thought of it while on our walks. Maybe we just lucked out on the time of year we were there, but it just wasn't an issue. Being able to also use the Iberostar Waves Dominicana (Iberostar's other resort) made this vacation even better. It was nice being able to use their facility as well (the pools, bars, restaurants, nightly entertainment, etc..) it felt like you get two resorts for the price of one! Souvenir shopping on site, and we were able to find many shopping sites while on our walks along the beach. If you get up early, don't miss the sunrise .... Spectacular! I really don't think there is a bad room in this resort. All the buildings have beautifully maintained landscaping throughout the entire complex with uplighting on most palm trees at nighttime. A relaxing vacation with a very Caribbean vibe. If you like palm trees, then this is the place with a very tropical atmosphere. We also felt very safe walking around this resort at any time day or night. So glad we picked this resort with plenty to do and see. We were constantly busy, enjoying every minute, and plenty of relax time. What more could you want! We can't think of a bad thing to say about it, and it definitely deserves a 5-star rating from us!

    Will be back!

I just got back from four nights at this resort. It was my first time at an all-inclusive but I’ve done a lot of traveling and cruising so it wasn’t completely new to me. I enjoyed this resort a lot. The buffets were much better than I anticipated, with multiple places to get food cooked to order. I enjoyed the plentiful amount of restaurants- although the lack of reservations available was frustrating. We had quick service at all the bars. The pools were never too crowded. We didn’t speak much Spanish but the staff worked with us to make sure we had what we needed. I only had two complaints- 1) my friend got food poisoning half way through the trip (lasted for one day and didn’t effect anyone else - maybe stay away from the shrimp ceviche at the buffet, which is what we think caused it given that is the only thing no one else had. 2) they cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels the first day but nothing the second day. The third day they still hadn’t come by 4pm so we grabbed some cash and asked one of the cleaners we saw to make sure she hit our room and gave us fresh towels. I genuinely feel like requesting our room to be cleaned shouldn’t be needed at this type of resort. Even with these two negatives- I would hands down come back here. Literally every single staff member was friendly and accommodating, the diversity of restaurants and evening entertainment was great, and everything was nice and clean. I will be back!!

    Bad experience

Recently we visited Iberostar Bávaro and we weren’t too happy. We have been club members for 6 years and this time we had a bad experience. They’re selling many memberships but they aren’t expanding. They don’t have enough cabanas and a lot of them are broken. You have to be on the beach by 7 am or earlier to occupy a cabana. The assigned area for members is not big enough at the restaurant buffet for breakfast and there are only 2 servers. The bar at the beach had only one bartender which created significant wait time for service. However, I can say the staff was very friendly and hardworking in particular the beach concierge, Jose Arias, housekeeper Yafreisy, and waiters

Lack of customer service, accountability, and even basic communication was shocking

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Iberostar. I encountered an issue with my hotel booking and requested their support, but despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel, I received no response to any of my emails. The lack of customer service, accountability, and even basic communication was shocking. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Iberostar to anyone. There are many hotel brands that truly prioritize their guests, unfortunately, Iberostar is not one of them.
