Dec 03, 2025Horrible service, poor entertainment and kids club options, okay food
Safety - rooms are not kid safe. Balconies have large gaps between glass panels where small kids can slip through. My daughter had her head out on 5th floor. Service - No staff ever checked including our private conceirage that was included with the room. No attempt was made to check or improve experience. Cleaning was poor, late, done once in 3 days and staff left chemical supplies in room after cleaning. Food - Food was okay but very limited in options. Restraunts had a small menu with 0 customizations. Long wait times ~ 1 hour + and even long waif for food. Buffet was dry and very lowly staffed with no live counters. Activities / Entertainment - Team was not engaging at all. Activities were not well advised and staff was least bothered to involve the guests. Kids club does not offer food options to kids. Kids club has not special activities other than basic arts, craft, pinata etc which was okay for a day. Kids club had no pool access and parents had to watch kids in kids pool. Adult pool was not heated, beach activies had mosquitoes and food sometimes had flies hovering. Room service menu was pathetic with quick service food mostly missing quality. Water restocking in room was very slow also.

Wanted to visit the Ziva based on reviews and it did not disappoint! Excellent food and choices as well as plenty of places to eat. Food manager, Emanuel Santana is friendly, helpful, and a good leader. The staff is so friendly and helpful and outgoing. They run like crazy from table to table and don't expect a tip but are grateful to receive one. They worked harder than any other all-inclusive resort we've been to throughout Mexico. Newly remodeled rooms were clean and lovely. Bed comfy. Nice pool and chairs. We will be back.

Great Place to Spend Thanksgiving Break!
The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, it had a beautiful view of the coast. The rooms were set up nicely, were neat, and comfortable. There were plenty of options for food and drink, with the majority of the options being well worthwhile. There were some food misses at the beach and during our visit to one of the specialty restaurants, but all in all the food choices were excellent.

Hyatt Ziva is a MUST in San Jose del Cabo!!
What an amazing experience!! From the seamless check in process, to the beautifully appointed suite and our butler Ricardo, to the amazing pool side service from Jorge Rivera!! We could not have asked for a better end to our trip! Thank you all!! Our hearts are full!! We can’t wait to visit again!! ❤️

Amazing family vacation, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I couldn't speak more highly about the experience my family had at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. No one wanted to leave and everyone was resounding that we have to go back next year. Made me feel like we booked the right vacation! The hotel setup is great! Two huge main pools, then an adult pool and a kids' pool with water slides: something for everyone! While everything was great, the service was what really stood out. The entire staff is so attentive and helpful! They make you feel welcome, they know you by name really quickly and made our experience so memorable. The food options are plentiful and really top quality. Kids' can eat whatever they want whenever they want which makes it easy as a parent. Then we had nice dinners every night with an amazing variety. It was hard to choose which restaurant to go to, we wanted to try them all! Some parts of the hotel could use some work but you can tell they are constantly upgrading things: the gym was brand new and really comprehensive, a wonderful space to workout. Overall I give it an A+! I will definitely be back!
