Attentive staff
Booked as a last minute getaway, pleasantly surprised at value received. Staff across the board were welcoming, friendly, ready to help make our trip more enjoyable. Hotel was clean and well kept. Food was high quality with plenty of options on property. We would have liked some higher tier alcohol options but this was not a dealbreaker. Property next door being developed for vacation club but we had no pressure to listen/join.

Ambience is appealing. We were disappointed in the meal quality. Also did not like the limitations on making reservations for the restaurants.

We loved Hyatt Vivid Grand Island
I was suspicious when I saw so many "too good to be true" reviews, but we're going to put ours on the pile. This place is incredible! We've stayed at other Hyatt all-inclusives but had the best experience with this one. The decor is really gorgeous, the rooms are huge (if possible to upgrade to a corner room with wrap-around balcony, it's worth it), and the food was far above what I expected. The specialty restaurants are particularly good. While this report is on the bay rather than the beach, it makes it feel much more secluded and private. It's also far quieter than resorts in the "hotel zone". But it's the best of both worlds as their beach club is really incedible. Just a 5 min shuttle away (shuttles run every 20m), it features amazing views, infinity pools, easy ocean access, and a restaurant that delivers to your chair. Note that we were there over the winter holidays, so I have no idea how it gets in peak season; we estimated ~900 guests, and it was a really nice vibe. For the money, this is genuinely one of the best all-inclusives going. Can't wait to go back!

Extensive review
Review this will be a very extensive review, so please enjoy! I went with 9 people in total ranging from ages 21-64. Food I am gluten intolerant, and was pleased with the options provided to me. I did feel sick twice so won’t say that it’s perfect, but overall staff are knowledgeable. When someone didn’t know if something was gluten free, they would go to another staff to check, which I appreciated. Your options for gluten free were obviously limited, especially for things like pasta, pizza, bread, desserts. However I never went hungry and was generally satisfied with my meals! I would like to shoutout one of the managers, Jose at the buffet. Every morning he ensured they made a special gluten free meal for me, usually tacos with corn tortillas. He always told me what my options were and made sure I had enough to eat! I will note that the menus and buffet items were always labeled, however sometimes these were wrong. But once again, just ask and they will confirm. I will also share non gluten free food opinions from the rest of my group. Overall, they were impressed with the food and there were always enough options. Breakfast buffet was great, with egg station, different breads/ pastries, classic American breakfast options, Mexican breakfast, sweets, and fruit. Lunch buffet fell flat for us, not that many options and it wasn’t super fresh the day we went. Instead, stick with the ceviche place! Very fresh and delicious, also right by the pool making it very convenient. The ranking of the restaurants are as follows in the groups opinion: Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Asian. We have very high standards for Asian food… it wasn’t bad by any means. It’s on the rooftop so you get gorgeous views as well! My personal rankings as the gluten free person are: Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, and Italian. You can have almost everything on the Mexican menu, whereas you are more limited at the Italian restaurant. I recommend downloading the Hyatt app so you can see the menus before hand and ensure there will be something you like! Entertainment: This entertainment crew, especially Cesar, Orlando, and Sofia was great! They did such a good job at having lots of activities for everyone’s interests, from art, exercise, wellness, food, and more. Some things I did was the sound meditation, Pilates, aqua aerobics, watercolour, beach volleyball, sage workshop, bracelet making, and dream catcher. They also had cocktail class, HIIT workout, yoga, casino games, pickleball, ping pong. I also liked that they were always encouraging you to do an activity, but never being pushy! Be sure to check the schedule and get to your activity 15 minutes early, as they often got booked up quick! As far as evening activities, there wasn’t too much compared to other resorts, if you like shows. Instead of shows, they did things like bingo, casino games, mystic night with tarot card readers, etc. It was a nice change and good to see them trying to target an adult demographic, as it’s not a family resort. Pools and Beach Club: The pools were nice, there were 2 with 1 being the main one and the other being used more often for activities. The music was never too loud at the pool, which I enjoyed. Additionally, the servers were always very attentive and it was easy to get a drink! Compared to other resorts, it was no issue to get a lounger. For our large group we would get a spot around 9am. You could still get spots at 11am if you were a smaller group, or okay to not be pool side. It was nice to go somewhere where you don’t have to be up at 7am to grab a spot! The beach club was great and I highly recommend going! The shuttle leaves at 10am and there was usually a line by 930/45am. If you are picky about getting a good spot at the beach, line up a bit earlier. There’s a decent amount of spots at the beach, and worst case scenario, you go to the sand and lay down a towel! I would recommend not getting there for 11;30-1pm as that seemed busy and harder to get a spot if you just arrived. It does die down after 2pm as people start to head back. I did miss having a beach right at the resort, but it’s only a 5min shuttle so really not a big deal at all in my books! But, if you love the beach and ocean, you may want to think about that. The beach club itself was very nice with comfortable chairs and it wasn’t too loud. There is a bar and food, although not that many options. The tuna poke nachos were amazing! The water was so blue and very nice to swim in, although could get rough at times, so be careful. Service: Overall, everyone was very friendly and you could tell people enjoyed working there. I would like to shoutout Roselia and Dyana, who greeted us at the buffet every morning and lunch with a smile! Servers were fairly quick and you could get drinks quick too, so no complaints there. Overall: If you are looking for a more quiet, chill vacation; but still want some entertainment options, this if the resort for you! It is not a mega resort, like some we’ve been to, but we enjoyed that. You won’t spend much time getting to and from places and it feels much chiller. You don’t have to worry about getting a chair at the pool or beach for the most part, and same goes with reservations- especially if you are a smaller party than us.

Rude management
After 2 nights in our room I was eaten alive by something not sure what i was but I have bite everywhere and manager David was no help at all and rude to say the least. I was on location for alittle get away myself but to take video and images for my clients ( as I am a travel agent) and i would never send them to this location after how David spoke with me honestly. Some images there is too many bites to show them all even on my face...
