Hyatt Regency Toronto is a good downtown hotel with an excellent location near major attractions, restaurants, and transit. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly, and amenities like the rooftop pool and gym are a plus. Some rooms feel a bit dated and parking is pricey, but overall it’s a solid, convenient stay.

Great food at the restaurant, neat room and very friendly staff. I also liked the exercise room. Good place to stay and I will visit again.

EDIT THIS REVIEW HYATT replied that the parking was public. Yes, but they still wanted to gouge a long time loyal Hyatt customer $ 22.00 for the exact same spot for parking prices they were well aware of. Is it worth my loyalty for the next 20yrs for $22.00 If a customer was not thinking outside the box and explore all options he/she would of paid $40 As the front desk man had the ticket in his hand for $40 until I said I used the app. As soon as I said' I used the app" He put the $40 ticket down and looked embarrassed. The little gouges is what you remember... $22 is not the issue. NEXT THE HYATT REPLY FOR THE RESTAURANT SAID" could of eaten in the MIX bar or in my room Just what I wanted; !! take my wife to Toronto, "plan fine dining" & eat in a bar or on my bed in my room. The restaurant was advertised as open. Something is wrong when on a Friday Evening your fine dining restaurant is closed , when the restaurants across the street were full and no walk in's. Either your food is poor or you cannot keep staff. CLEAN MODERN HOTEL. A+ LOCATION As a loyal Hyatt member Pros; Fantastic Location, ( easy access to theatre ) Modern clean Lobby, Spotless clean remodelled room ( thank you housekeeping ) , Friendly helpful Staff, Starbucks on location A+ Cons; Hyatt wanted to charge me $40 for the exact same parking spot that was on my app for $ 18 , Intended on dining at the Hyatt Restaurant, AAA striploin $42. / however the restaurant was closed. Last minute shuffle we ate pizza. Loyality is hard to build. Basically only bad part or our weekend in Toronto was eating pizza when we ready for steak.

Jan 14, 2026Good location and staff, but several preventable issues impacted our stay
The Hyatt Regency Toronto is well located, the hotel itself was clean, and many staff members were courteous and professional. Unfortunately, several preventable issues significantly impacted our stay and did not meet expectations for a Hyatt property. We were in Toronto for an important conference hosted at the hotel and for a time-sensitive family event. Transportation arranged through the concierge did not match what was booked. We paid for a 14-passenger Sprinter, yet a smaller, unclean vehicle arrived both ways, resulting in unsafe and uncomfortable seating conditions. We were also advised during booking that the hotel had a pool, which influenced our decision to stay here. Upon arrival, we learned the pool was closed for the season, which was very disappointing for our children and could have been avoided with clearer disclosure. Additionally, our room experienced plumbing issues that were reported but not addressed in a timely manner, leading to an overflow. There were also concerns with room door functionality and security, as well as extremely tight underground parking with no warning for larger vehicles. Overall, while the property has many positives, better communication, vendor oversight, maintenance response, and guest guidance are needed to meet Hyatt standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the guest experience going forward.

Nice location for so many events.
As a loyal Hyatt member. Pro's; lovely clean hotel with a fantastic location , Modern clean rooms ( thank you housekeeping -great job ). Warm welcoming Staff. Starbucks on location A+. Elevators are fast and modern. Whole lobby looks new. Underground ( easy to use ) parking. Cons; As Hyatt member I was disappointed in a few things; Tried to charge me $40 for parking when it is $18 on the app ( exact same parking spot ) / My Hyatt points didn't seem to mean much; paid almost full price but wasted 9000 points. Their well advertised Hotel restaurant was closed, Why advertise fine dining if you're closed before the theatre opens on a Friday Night. Basically it was a lovely weekend in Toronto except for the Pizza we ended up eating before the theatre show.
